This place is wonderful! The staff are really pleasant and accommodating and the location is excellent. Our room was situated at the far end of the building and was peaceful and well-equipped. The complimentary breakfast was really delicious. There are plenty of nice eateries within walking distance and the metro station is just a few minutes away. I can confidently recommend this hotel.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Olivia Balmes Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly hospitality and made to feel incredibly special. The hotel had already been informed that we were celebrating our anniversary and there was a bottle of cava and some lovely desserts waiting for us in our room - it was a truly touching gesture. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and even though our balcony wasn't facing any breathtaking views, it was still nice to step out and get a bit of fresh air. For breakfast, there was a huge variety of hot and cold dishes, including an unexpected Asian-style glass noodle stir-fry which was delicious. But the highlight was definitely the strong coffee! All in all, our short stay at the Olivia Balmes Hotel was wonderful and we can't wait to go back for a longer visit.
This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing and within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. The rooms are roomy with thoughtful touches such as sensor lights in the bathrooms and strong water pressure. There's plenty of storage space, and the shower and toilet are in the same room. While this may not be ideal for a romantic getaway, it wasn't a problem for me as I was travelling alone. The pool is passable but very small and crowded in the summer months. The sun loungers can be hard to come by are quite uncomfortable. Breakfast isn't included but there is an abundance of options nearby, including a handy coffee shop right across from the hotel. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay, but I think the price is a bit steep.
We had a great stay in Barcelona, visiting for 4 days in June 2023. Our accommodation was pleasant and the staff were incredibly helpful. We found the room to be comfortable, with the shower and toilet in two different areas with a wash basin in between. The breakfast buffet was great, featuring a wide variety of items - plus, our complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch! The hotel is situated in a great neighbourhood, near a Metro station, with La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya just a 20-minute walk away. Thank you!
Beautiful accommodations in a great location. The staff were exceptional, especially Sergi at the reception desk and Eduardo, the doorman. They went out of their way to help us make dinner reservations and purchase tickets for the local soccer game.
