I had a wonderful experience staying at the Olivia Balmes Hotel in Barcelona. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed by the friendly, welcoming staff. The room was clean and comfortable with many amenities. I would highly recommend this hotel over many of the 5 star hotels I have stayed in while in Barcelona. I will definitely be coming back here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Service: The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They helped us with any queries we had and were very friendly and accommodating. They even threw in a few extras, such as a free breakfast basket on the Sunday morning. Rooms: We stayed in an Executive Room with a balcony overlooking the street and it was modern, clean and spacious. The room was full of all the amenities that you would expect from an international hotel such as Olivia Balmes. There was free wifi, air-con and a flat-screen TV.
My family and I had an excellent stay at Olivia Balmes Hotel. The staff were wonderful and really accommodating and the location was perfect for sightseeing in Barcelona. Our room was extremely comfortable with a gorgeous balcony that overlooked the street. We had all of the modern amenities such as free wifi, air-con and a flat-screen TV. Plus, they even threw in a free breakfast basket on Sunday morning. We had an amazing time and I couldn't rate this hotel more highly - we would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful; their service was second to none. Always cheerful and willing to assist. The room was spotless and the bed was like a dream. I really appreciated the eco-friendly environment they had created. In addition, the modern design was very aesthetically pleasing. When heading back to Barcelona, I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay; its location is ideal and the staff are so friendly. The pool area is fantastic and the rooms are nice and spacious (although the beds could be a bit softer). It's extremely quiet, even though the hotel is situated on a busy street. The only thing that could be improved is the restaurant. It has a stiff, uninviting atmosphere and it's not a very popular place to eat either for breakfast or dinner. It's been like this ever since the hotel opened, so it's a shame. To liven it up, the hotel should hire a designer to add some colour and warmth, lower the ceiling, dim the lights and add some cozy furniture.
This hotel is conveniently located close to several bars, restaurants, and train and metro stations such as Provencia. It's not far from Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla, just a 10-minute walk away. The rooms are fantastic; mine had a separate bathroom and toilet, and the wash basin was in the extension area of the bedroom. The staff was very helpful. The only issue is that the breakfast is the same every day, which may become monotonous if you stay for a long period.
