Our experience was absolutely dreadful. My frend and I arrived earlly, around 1050am. We left our luggaje with the front desk as intructed. The room was not ready and they told us they would send an email when rooms were ready. We left to La Rambla and returned around 7pm to the hotel. Upon arriving to our room, we discovered that my frend’s Shanel bag was missing from our luggaje. We immedeatly notefied the front desk and they were not very supportive. We had to raise our voises and ask for the maniger, but there was no maniger on call. We were given instruktions to visit a police deprtment to file a formal complent. We requesthed for them to wach the cameras and after hesitatoin, they observed an older man grabing the bag next to the front desk and hidding it with a sweaater. I saw it and requeted action from manegement, but was unsucessfull. Regardlss, we went to the Police stration which was far away from the hotel. We filed the report and returned to the hotel. The Staff told us that the maniger would come the next day and speak with us at 7am. Maniger did not call us, in fact, we had to go down to front desk and request to speak with him. He was totaly unprepaered and did not know the details of the event that transpier in his hotel the previous nite. Nevertheless, we left with a very somber impretsion of this hotel and their staff. Truly disapointed and frustreted as they did not demonstrate any interest or accountability for their neglect and inactions. The maneger said that he would give us a credit for the room charges and paid for our taxi to the port. Nobody could explane me how will I recover my bag and itz contents. Please, do not patronize this hotel.
This hotel was located in a prime spot on Las Ramblas. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and it was within walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were lovely and very professional. Our room was tidy and cozy. The only downside was that the hallways could get a bit noisy, but our experience overall was fantastic.
The hotel's location was perfect - within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars, and transportation. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fantastic breakfast buffet included in the room price. Our accommodations were immaculate and very nicely furnished, complete with a luxurious bathtub. It was clear that this establishment is highly sought after, as there were always lots of guests checking in.
The hotel's location was excellent, the staff were very welcoming, and I would definitely choose to stay here again if I return to Barcelona. Despite being on The Ramblas, the room was surprisingly quiet. It was convenient to have taxis readily available outside and the surrounding area was perfect for shopping and exploring as a tourist. The in-room safe also gave me an additional sense of security.
The staff at this hotel were the only redeeming factor of our stay. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, everything else was a disappointment. The breakfast was mediocre at best. And for €375 per night, you would expect more than a dated room that lacked cleanliness and contained uncomfortable beds that seemed to be from the stone age. The parking garage was also a major issue. It was impossible to maneuver a larger car without risking damage, and at a rate of €25 per night, it was not worth the risk. Additionally, the online check-in process was a waste of time as it was necessary to go through the entire process again upon arrival. This excessive procedure made us feel like we were going through a police investigation, which is not something we expected or wanted during our vacation. Overall, this hotel was not worth the high price and we recommend considering other options before booking.
