Sofitel Barcelona Skipper

This hotel has a fantastic location, and the room we stayed in was peaceful, immaculate, and well-lit. The bed was exceptionally cozy, and all the staff members were excellent, from the housekeeping team to the front desk, to the breakfast and dinner services. A special shout out to the bartender, Bernadette! Without a doubt, I would choose this hotel again.

The accommodation was of a remarkable standard, situated just a short distance from the beach with a convenient 10-minute walk. For easy access to the city centre, a quick taxi ride or a nearby "hop on hop off" bus stop would do the trick. Our suite, room 326, even boasted a charming little terrace. We had booked for a 2-night stay and couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel's modern furnishings and top-notch service. Despite its location, the suite was peaceful and free from external disturbances. The staff were commendably attentive, courteous, and polite. We indulged in a delicious breakfast at the dining room, with an impressive array of options to choose from, including gluten-free options for my dietary needs. Overall, our stay was shaping up to be a fantastic city break. However, I must address the reason for my 2-star rating. The bathroom was spacious and tastefully equipped with a well-planned layout. However, the floor was, to put it mildly, disgustingly filthy. I brought this to the attention of the reception, who disregarded my concerns and assured me that most of the rooms were the same, with no solution in place since the hotel's inception. This could be attributed to the uneven tiles, which, if mopped with water, leave behind layers of dust, dirt, and whatnot as it dries. I suggested that a steam cleaner would do the trick, but the response was underwhelming; they would have housekeeping take care of it. Upon our return, the floor was still grimy, and it was too late to check out, as we had pre-paid for the night. The following morning, we decided to leave, with no response from the hotel manager to my email about the matter. I gave them ample opportunity to address the issue, both during and after our stay, but to no avail. Surely, if I could clean the filthy tiles with toilet paper and hand soap, a solution could have been found. It's unacceptable for guests to pay hundreds of euros per night and be subjected to walking on other people's filth. Providing slippers isn't a viable solution.

Our stay at the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper Hotel was absolutely incredible. The breathtaking views, combined with the fantastic pool area, left us in awe. The service and breakfast were both top-notch, and we must give a special thank you to Victor at El Cielo for his exceptional service. The rooms were spacious and maintained to a high standard, with the cleaning service living up to our expectations. We were particularly impressed with the upgraded sound system in each room. This was not our first visit and we were thrilled to see that the hotel has only improved since our last stay. Well done, Sofitel Barcelona Skipper!

I had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the solid hotel and its amenities. The rooms were fully stocked and the beds were incredibly comfy. I particularly enjoyed the shower bathroom setup, as it added an extra touch of luxury to my stay. The pool bar on the top floor was a highlight of my trip - not only was it a great spot to relax, but the bartenders Victor and Paul made some amazing cocktails. I highly recommend trying the Pornstar cocktail, it was absolutely delicious. And for those looking to stay active during their travels, the hotel even has a well-equipped gym in the basement. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We had the pleasure of being attended by a waiter named Viktor during our stay. His service was flawless and he exuded politeness and professionalism. We highly recommend asking for him during your visit. The hotel itself is fantastic as well. The food was great and the staff showed polite and professional conduct. It seems that they have also resolved any issues with their card machines. It's a shame that the rooftop bar will soon be closing, as it had a wonderful atmosphere.
