The price paid for this particular hotel was not proportional to what was offered in terms of service. Even en route from the airport, things didn't go too smoothly. Although the taxi driver was told the name of the establishment, they were taken to the wrong one - and it seems they weren't the only ones. The hotel employee told them that employees of both establishments were aware of the issue but that nothing was being done to address it. To make matters worse, guests had to pay an overpriced taxi fare of 21€ for a distance of under 3km, as well as an exaggerated room price at midnight, and then had to traverse a dark industrial area in order to reach the correct hotel.
We needed a hotel near the airport for one night as our early departure meant we had to leave the following morning. We weren't expecting much, however the hotel was beyond expectations. It was very modern and clean, with easy and efficient check in/out. Though unfortunately they didn't inform us that we would need a ticket to use the free shuttle to the airport, so had to get this sorted before boarding. Our room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Although, one of the lights not working made it quite dark in the room. The shower was a good size, but would have been improved with a shelf to place items on. Having a glass wall from the bathroom to the sleeping area provided no privacy, however fortunately there were blinds provided. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was of great quality. The service was also appealing, and the shuttle driver was helpful with luggage. This was a great hotel to stay in, particularly for those needing a stopover near the airport.
Finding the hotel shuttle from the airport was a challenge. The place had a modern ambiance, but the rooms were overly warm. I attempted to turn down the air conditioning, but it did not help. When I tried to open the windows, all I accomplished was welcoming some bugs. I left with three bites, but the room service was on-time and polite.
We chose the BAH Barcelona Airport Hotel for our overnight stay to take advantage of its proximity to the airport, complimentary shuttle, and early breakfast. We were not disappointed - the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. When our flight was cancelled, the front desk staff were very accommodating. Our impromptu dinner at the hotel was also delicious. However, keep in mind that it is expensive to get to downtown Barcelona via taxi, and there is nothing to see near the hotel as it is located in a business park.
I stayed at the BAH Barcelona Airport Hotel and it was great. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes away from the airport, making it very easy to get to. The restaurant downstairs had some very mouth-watering dishes, but I would recommend avoiding them as they were quite pricey and not very good. The rest of the hotel was up to date with the current trend of good quality airport hotels. All in all, I had a great stay here.
