Just five minutes away from the airport (although a night taxi ride may cost 30 Euros, there is a shuttle service available at certain times) is a beautiful and superbly designed airport hotel. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. The bathrooms are also of good size. The overall atmosphere is somewhat dark, but still adequate. The breakfast selection is quite varied.
This hotel is definitely not family friendly. We had booked for three people, including our 3 year old, and paid the appropriate amount. However, on arrival we were surprised to find only one large bed. Questioning the staff, we were told that our child was staying free but would have to sleep in the bed with us! We were then asked to pay an additional 44€ for an extra bed - which should have been provided as part of our booking. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were also very unhelpful and unfriendly - contrary to our expectations from an area popular with tourists. To top it all off, at check-out we did not even receive a receipt for our stay.
This hotel seems like a decent choice, though there isn't a restaurant on the premises. Plus, since it's conveniently located near the airport, there isn't much else in the area in terms of food. On both occasions I stayed there, I had to go into Barcelona to find a decent meal. I think it would be better to just stay in Barcelona next time.
The breakfast was also very good and included. The soundproof windows are super effective, so I slept like a baby both times.
I had the same great experience staying at BAH Barcelona Airport Hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, the shuttle was on time and the restaurant was great. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was really comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast which was included and even with all the noise outside the soundproof windows kept it very peaceful. A great stay, I highly recommend this hotel.
We chose to stay at BAH during our trip and were really pleased with the decision. The room was modern, spotless and had very comfortable beds. The service was great and the in-room amenities were top-notch. The 24-hour airport shuttle was very convenient and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was outstanding. All-in-all, it was a great stay and we'd certainly stay here again.
