I'd heard great things about this hotel and it lived up to expectations! The staff were so wonderful - especially Igancio (Nacho) at the front desk - who even retrieved a forgotten bag for us! Breakfast was delicious, offering something for everyone in our group. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, plus in a great location, close to the Plaza! The amenities in the bathroom were a nice touch too ??. The lift may have been small but very helpful. In the afternoons they would serve small sandwiches and desserts ??. The bar didn't open until 4pm, but was still nice for a mid-afternoon snack. We also found it useful to call a taxi from the hotel rather than try to hail one out front. ? I was really impressed with this hotel and would happily stay here again in the future!✅
This property is perfectly situated in a brilliant Plaza. You will find transportation and all the attractions at your fingertips. On the whole, this place is great but there are a few drawbacks... Positive points Beautiful old building (particularly the breakfast room) Most areas of the hotel smell wonderful and comforting Very comfortable beds and very clean Staff are friendly and welcoming Great breakfast and complimentary snacks and beverages in the afternoon Some rooms even have their own terrace area. Our friends were upgraded and it was superb, with sun loungers and outdoor furniture Not so great Rooms are quite cramped Hot water can be temperamental in the morning Not powerful showers Noise levels can be quite loud due to being on the square, double glazing does work well to filter most out Can hear conversations and snoring from other rooms Despite the few issues mentioned, we really enjoyed our stay here and would likely come back.
This historic property offered us small bedrooms and smaller bathrooms, including one of the tiniest showers we have ever encountered. We were on the 5th storey, which made it all the more interesting since the lift only went up to the 3rd floor. The highlight of the stay was certainly the huge terrace that was almost as large as the bedroom itself. It was equipped with a table and umbrella, and also had a lounge chair. The hotel is excellently situated on the Plaza, and is right next to the Metro station. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional - we experienced a large buffet of items along with made-to-order food such as omelets, eggs, pancakes, crepes etc. I had a delicious omelet with mushrooms, ham and cheese - one of the best I have had. Overall, we paid €440 ($475) for a 2 night stay.
Just could not be happier after our stay at this great hotel. The location in the centre of Barcelona means you are just a short walk or ride (bus or metro) to all that the wonderfull city of Barcelona has to offer. The hotel is a beautifully restored old property, tastefully decorated, wonderfully staffed with so many little extras such as the complimentary drinks at reception and small snacks in the reading room. Breakfast is a highlight in a beautiful space over looking the square. Unfortunately during our stay there we’re some renovations happening so the garden wasn’t open but it was of no concern. Certainly I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it..
The location of this place was ?! Right in front of Placa de Catalunya, where the Aerobus stops from Barcelona-El Prat airport and La Rambla a mere two minutes away. The proximity to all the city's landmarks was so convenient. The staff here deserves a special mention. So ??, especially Roger and Christina who went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, I was upgraded to the best room of the hotel and given a bottle of cava for my birthday ??. Javier Garcia, you surely know how to run a great team. ?
