This hotel was my top choice for its central location. Unfortunately, the hotel I originally planned to stay at had received negative reviews, so I searched for a nearby option and found this gem. It is situated in the Gothic Quarter, a perfect spot for exploring the city on foot. Placa de Catalunya is just a short 10-15 minute walk away for those needing transportation. The surrounding area is filled with must-see landmarks, museums, and a variety of dining options. Upon arrival, the courteous Davide welcomed us and even showed us to our room and carried our luggage. This personalized service was a first for me in a hotel. Our standard double room with twin beds was spacious and the bathroom was equally clean and well-maintained. The view from the room was of the charming streets and the window allowed for some fresh air. The room also had air conditioning, which was a relief during warmer moments. The only hiccup was the unique long and thin pillows, but I quickly adapted and slept soundly each night, feeling like I was back in my own bed.
For convenience, my travel companion and I decided on room service for dinner on our first night. However, the menu left something to be desired and we found better options outside. The portions were small for the price, and not until later in our stay did we discover a sushi menu available online. Not sure why this wasn't mentioned or included in the room service options. The only other drawback was the occasional nighttime noise. Our room was located across from the lobby and restaurant entrance, and there were instances of loud talking around 2am. Though the windows were not soundproof, the noise subsided by 10pm and with the help of earplugs, I was able to get some rest.
On one occasion, we only had one key card and upon returning to the hotel, it stopped working. I was worried we would have to go through a lengthy process to prove our identities, but Davide recognized us and reprogrammed the card without any issue. Every evening, we were treated to a knock on the door with a complimentary chocolate, a delightful touch. I also appreciated the check-out time of 12pm, giving us extra time to grab breakfast and do some last-minute shopping before departing. We were able to leave our bags with the hotel until our flight later in the evening.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. The cleanliness, prime location, and friendly staff made it an excellent choice. I do recommend bringing earplugs, but noise can be expected in most hotels. If I ever return to Barcelona, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
During our trip to Barcelona, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel located in the heart of the shopping district. From November 16-20, we enjoyed a lovely and comfortable stay without any issues. The rooms were kept clean and we were treated to a nightly turn down service ? The staff were all exceptional, but one person stood out to us - Alex. He was incredibly polite and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Kudos to the hotel for excellent training and hiring the right people ?

During our time in Barcelona, we had the pleasure of staying in a fantastic hotel that was situated in an ideal location. Our experience was simply wonderful! The establishment itself was stunning and the staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. Plus, it was conveniently situated near fabulous shopping and dining options. Without a doubt, if given the chance, I would definitely book this hotel again.
This hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and also had great knowledge of the surrounding area. They gave us plenty of recommendations for dining and drinking. The room was cozy and well-maintained, equipped with all the necessary amenities. I would highly recommend staying here.
