We had a wonderful stay in April with my partner and two teenagers for a three night break. The staff at reception weren't overly cheery, but were very efficient and informative. To our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a lovely room. The hotel was excellent - clean and staff were superb, including the security guy who was very polite. The air conditioning temporarily stopped working but maintenance were there in no time to reset it. Housekeeping was top notch, beds were immaculately done, the bathrooms spotless and the shower pressure great. The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and kind - they truly made our stay a memorable one. To top it off, we were presented with a lovely birthday cup/gift - thank you! We would highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to go back.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and extremely clean, and the beds were so comfortable. The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing. It was also conveniently located close to the Rambla and the Port.
The location was perfect, in the heart of the city within walking distance to all the main sights. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, the bed linen was crisp and white, a joy to sleep in! We enjoyed the delicious breakfast with lots of different options on offer. The hotel was a very welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and the pool area was a great place to cool off and relax.
We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Barcelona Universal. The location was great and it was within walking distance of all the key spots. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and the bed linen was clean and white. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast with many options on offer. The hotel was very nice and peaceful and the pool area was an excellent place to take a break and relax. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to Barcelona. They offer great value for money and I highly recommend this place!
Staff were amazing and made our stay very pleasant. The hotel itself was beautiful and I couldn't fault anything. We were only there for a few days and I found myself wishing we could stay longer with each day that passed. The only issue I had was when I booked the break, it didn't give me room option. Specifically, we wanted a balcony with a street view but when I emailed to ask, the response was that it depended on availability on arrival. I think it would be a really good idea for it to be possible to upgrade rooms at time of booking.Nevertheless, it was an amazing hotel and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you ?.
exploring the city.
I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Barcelona Universal and I have to agree with the previous review! Located just steps away from Parallel Metro Station, you're perfectly situated for exploring the city with ease. The breakfast was delicious with a buffet-style selection of pastries, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, etc. The room service staff were friendly and the rooms were always kept clean and refilled with the necessities. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Barcelona without breaking the bank. It's much more cost-effective than some of the pricier hotels and you'll spend most of your time out and about anyway!
