If you're looking for an economical yet convenient stay in Barcelona, I'd definitely recommend Hotel Barcelona Universal. I recently stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great choice. The metro station is literally right at the door, making it incredibly easy to get around. And if you're flying in from the airport, taking the metro is far cheaper than the airport bus, which requires you to walk 1 km or take the metro once you arrive. It's only a 10 minute walk to La Rambla and 20 minutes to the port. Plus, the staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One thing to note is that breakfast is quite expensive if you decide to take it. But if you're looking for a lively nightlife, the hotel is located on Barcelona's "Broadway" and there's plenty of activity to enjoy in the area.
I had an amazing stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, Tony the receptionist, gave us a warm welcome and checked us in quickly and efficiently. What a great start to our stay! Our room on the 7th floor was clean, spacious and beautiful, with a view of Ave Para Lel. This great location was in close proximity to many attractions, as well as restaurants, shops and cafés. We were particularly impressed by the helpfulness of the staff, namely Merce, Jeily, Carlos and Winter, who made sure all our needs were catered for. As well as being a great place to stay, the hotel also had some fantastic facilities. The rooftop pool was stunning with gorgeous views of the city and there was also a fitness and business centre. All in all, my stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal was superb and I will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone looking for quality accommodation in Barcelona.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Barcelona Universal for a few days with my daughter and it was a great experience. The hotel is conveniently situated to explore the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was always kept clean and tidy and we had clean towels and amenities provided each day. The only downside was that there was a window in the room, but it overlooked an internal courtyard so there wasn't really anything to view. Luckily, the foyer had a complimentary drinks machine where I could get some hot chocolate - highly recommended! I would definitely return here in the future.
I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal. The room was spotless and featured all the amenities I could need. The bed was so comfortable and the Wi-Fi was lightning fast. To top it off, their breakfast was incredible - a great selection of cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh fruit juices. The selection of fruits, vegetables, muesli and egg dishes was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel - the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure to stay here!

The room was perfect - it was clean and spacious and had a lovely view. I was also very impressed with the breakfast selection, with something for everyone. I chose to stay in this hotel as it was so conveniently located; it was within easy walking distance of most of the popular attractions.
