Hotel Barcelona Universal was a great find. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The location was perfect - right by the metro, and I was able to request a room near to my friend's, which I really appreciated. But the best part was the breakfast - it was just incredible! Such a wide variety of food and drinks, so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.
We stayed at Hotel Barcelona Universal during Valentine's Day for 3 nights. The TV was outdated and in need of an upgrade, so we ended up relying on our phones. The room was very clean, and housekeeping came everyday. The reception staff were absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, the bed was quite uncomfortable and unsteady, and the room got very warm. We opened the window, but it didn't give us much air since it was facing inwards. Other than that we had a lovely stay and would recommend it.
I recently stayed at Hotel Barcelona Universal and was deeply disappointed. The front desk staff was perfunctory and unfriendly, and it was clear they lacked proper training. When I asked for directions, they gave me incorrect information which caused me to miss an important excursion. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a first-time visit to Barcelona; even though it is a four star hotel, the front desk assistance isn't up to par. Avoid at all costs.
Stayed at the Hotel Barcelona Universal and was very pleased with my experience. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was modern and well maintained. The location was great, close to a lot of shops and restaurants, and the metro was right around the corner. Taxis were available close by and it was very central with great access around the city. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Had a minor issue that was quickly and efficiently handled.
Location is great. Very convenient to many attractions and the famous Ramblas. The front of the hotel is on a busy street but it was actually quite nice in the evenings. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English, which was a great help. Our room was tidy and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. I would recommend Hotel Barcelona Universal and would definitely stay here again.
