I had a great stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal. The daily housekeeping was very appreciated, and the bathroom and view of the city were great. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and I could not have asked for more. It was also great to be so close to the city centre on foot and with the added convenience of having a metro and bus station nearby. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, too. I would certainly recommend staying here and I hope to visit again in the future.
The hotel staff were friendly and the lobby was modern and up-to-date. However, the room itself was really outdated and in need of a revamp. It didn't have the clear view windows they promised on their website, so instead we were stuck with frosted ones. When we opened them, we were looking straight onto the other building with no view of the sky. There were even cigarette butts on the window sill, suggesting people had been smoking outside. The ceiling had a hole in it where one of the sprinkler covers had fallen off. Cleanliness wasn't an issue but the age of the room was a real letdown. We had a decent stay but the rooms need a serious makeover.
I just got back from my stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal, and I would definitely recommend it. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and the facilities were top-notch. It's worthy of its 4-star rating and the location is perfect for visiting nearby restaurants, souvenir shops and shopping centers. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it!
I had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal. The location was perfect and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate but the quality could be improved if you get there early. Unfortunately, the dinner prices were too high for what was on offer, so I chose to dine out instead. The pool would have made the stay even better had it been heated, unfortunately it was so cold you couldn't enjoy it fully. All in all I had a great time here and would definitely stay again.
Hotel Barcelona Universal was perfect for me! I had a Privilege Room with a beautiful view of the city, and the beds were so comfy that I didn't want to get up in the morning. The air conditioning was adjustable and the mini fridge was a great touch. Plus, it was incredibly convenient - only a five minute walk from La Rambla, tons of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and a bus stop and Metro station right outside. The cherry on top was the fantastic tapas restaurant right next door! I could not have asked for a better hotel for my trip. It was in a great central location, close to all the main tourist attractions, so I was able to see the whole city. It was the perfect place to stay in Barcelona!
