Room was spacious with a great view of the city- huge windows and comfy beds. Amazing location near the beach and yet close to the centre of the city with all the attractions. The spa and pool facilities are a great way to relax and the gym is well equipped. Would definitely recommend staying here again and would love to come back again soon!
The staff at Hotel Barcelona Universal were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great dinner recommendations which made our holiday so much better. The morning breakfast was great, always freshly stocked with a variety of options. The room was very spacious and had an impressive view of the city. The hotel is perfectly situated - near the beach but close to the city centre with its attractions. And the spa, pool and gym facilities were great for further relaxation. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back in the near future!
I just returned from a 3-night stay at the Barcelona Universal Hotel, and I would highly recommend it!! Its location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Las Ramblas, and the Olympic Park is in the other direction. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast included in the deal was really nice - lots of choice and really tasty. The rooms were great and spacious, perfect for a city break. The rooftop would be great in the summer, but even with the 3 days of sunshine, it was still too cold for me! One tip though – make sure to ask for a room at the back of the hotel, as the front can be quite noisy. On our first night, the voices and shouting was so loud it was hard to sleep, but after moving rooms we had no issue sleeping the other two nights. Overall, it was a great city and this hotel was the perfect base.

We had a great stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal, which was close to many main attractions. The hotel was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and it had all the basic amenities you need. Plus, there was a temporary parking spot right outside the entrance, which was very convenient during our stay. The buffet breakfast was superb and had a wide variety of continental dishes to choose from. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.
We had a great stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The gym was small but well-equipped and very clean. The location was great; the hotel was right by the metro stop, but you could also walk to several attractions nearby. The only downside was that the pillows and beds weren't very comfortable, but that's a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent stay.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal. The rooms were great - modern, clean and well-equipped. We had requested quiet rooms on a higher floor and were allocated three rooms on the 3rd floor, all of which we were happy with. The shower was hot, powerful and the hair dryer in the room was especially convenient. The location was also great - just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, some street noise can be heard from the rooms but it wasn't too bad and I would definitely recommend a higher floor if you're a light sleeper. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
