Pros: - I had a great stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal! It was close to the Metro Para-led station, walking distance to Las Rambas and the cruise port. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning and shower were both good and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of options. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was also competitive. Cons: The only thing that kept it from being perfect was our room on the second floor. The windows were thin so we could hear all the sounds from the street throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The staff at Hotel Barcelona Universal were always very welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. My room had everything I needed - the large TV was a nice touch, and the hairdryer, kettle and selection of teas and coffees were all useful. The hotel's complimentary toiletries were of great quality too. What I was most impressed by was the selection of breakfast items - there was a fabulous array of both hot and cold options, so I didn't need to look elsewhere for early morning sustenance. The hotel's location was ideal - it's only a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas, and there's a metro and a taxi rank right outside the door. All in all I can wholly recommend it; you get so much for your money in terms of facilities, service and location.
Overall we had a truly wonderful time and can recommend the Hotel Barcelona Universal to everyone!
We spent 6 nights at the Hotel Barcelona Universal and had a great time. The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. The hotel is conveniently located which made it easy to explore nearby attractions. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. We opted to try out some of the local eateries for breakfast instead of having it in the hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend the Hotel Barcelona Universal to anyone looking for comfortable lodging in the city.
Front desk apologised and attended to the issue straight away and within 10 minutes the issue was fixed.
I had a great stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal. I really appreciated the helpful and friendly staff who checked us in and provided us with local restaurant recommendations and other useful tips. The room was clean, comfortable, and all the amenities were working properly. I was impressed with the efficiency of the staff when I notified them about the toilet issue -- they fixed it within 10 minutes! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value stay in Barcelona.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure our needs were met and finding creative solutions to our unique bookings. Merce was particularly kind and welcoming. The views from the top of the hotel and the lounge area provide stunning views of the city and a great spot for relaxing in the evenings. The room we had was spacious, had built in speakers and was filled with really enjoyable music in the morning. Lastly, the hotel is extremely convenient for getting around Barcelona with the metro station nearby. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona."
