We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal. The room was spacious, and the location was perfect for our plans - a short walk away from the metro which enabled us to get around the city quickly. The staff were very helpful and friendly, making our stay even more comfortable. All in all, we were very satisfied and would definitely visit again.
We recently stayed at the Hotel Barcelona Universal for 4 nights in Room 101. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from the reception staff, and all staff were helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was a comfortable size, and was really clean and tidy. We appreciated the addition of a mini fridge with snacks and drinks, as well as a tea and coffee making facility which isn't always found in Barcelona hotels. The bathroom was also equipped with a hairdryer and large mirror, however our only complaint would be that it took a long time (7-8 minutes) for the hot water to come through the shower and basin. The location was great and even though we didn't have time to eat at the restaurant it looked busy and popular. We had an enjoyable stay at the Hotel Barcelona Universal.
The hotel room we stayed in was large and comfortable and was cleaned every day with fresh towels. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of food . . . .
Very welcoming staff that was always more than happy to point out all the attractions in the area. Location was ideal, with the Ramblas and marina just a short stroll away, not to mention plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and kept spotless with new towels daily. Breakfast was also great with a wide array of food to choose from. All in all, a great stay!
I stayed at the Hotel Barcelona Universal recently and it was, in general, a disappointing experience. The room we were given upon arrival was dirty and not properly cleaned. For what we paid, such a condition was unacceptable. The soundproofing also left much to be desired. When we were situated on the first floor, we could clearly hear all the street noise, including conversations and traffic. Everytime a passerby was talking, we could hear their conversation. It was a very unpleasant stay.
I had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Barcelona Universal. During my check-in and throughout my stay, their staff was friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are nicely decorated and have all the amenities you need. Besides, the location is perfect for sightseeing as it is within walking distance to La Rambla and has easy access to public transportation. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Barcelona. The staff will do everything in their power to make sure you have a wonderful experience.
