? Stayed in Barcelona for a week and the location was perfect if you want to avoid the busy city center. ? The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was amazing! ? There are plenty of great shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area. ? I would definitely visit again!
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spotless. The location of the hotel is convenient, as it allows for easy access to various popular destinations within walking distance. Alternatively, the nearby hop on/hop off bus also provides a convenient mode of transportation.
Our stay at Hotel Derby was truly a pleasure. The abundance of fantastic restaurants and exciting attractions in the surrounding area added to our overall experience. Without a doubt, we plan to return for another stay in the future. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the breakfast was delightful. The rooms were lovely, and we were impressed by how immaculately clean and cozy they were.
This particular lodging provided an extremely inferior experience. I would rate it the lowest on any scale. The staff is terribly rude and unhelpful, and the hotel's location is not ideal. To make matters worse, water is not complimentary. During checkout, they sneakily charged €2.75 for a 500ml bottle of water that should have been complimentary. Furthermore, they charged a city tax of €5.00 per person per night that was not stated anywhere in the booking confirmation or the website. Attempts to oppose these charges were met with aggressive and intimidating language, and threats to call the police. The excuses they gave were absurd, and they charged my card without permission. They have no hospitality values, and their practices are fraudulent. The ladies in the morning shift, including the manager, were involved in the illegitimate charges. This is nothing short of extortion. They also blamed Agoda, which is where I initially booked the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Their service and staff are completely unacceptable.
The interior and room was great. Clean and comfortable.
The location of this hotel is in the heart of the city, close to public transportation, as well as supermarkets. The service was excellent, and their staff were incredibly friendly. In particular, the restaurant staff were superb. The interior and rooms were immaculate and comfortable.
