Occidental Atenea Mar - Adults Only

Upon arriving at this hotel, we were promised the same rate for a fourth night. Unfortunately, on the third day, they renegged on their promise. My experience was made even harder due to the fact that it was a last minute change. Apparently, the demand for places to stay was high in Barcelina and they tried to charge me nearly six times the agreed upon rate...

Hed a grate sta here. Staff wer supur freandly and helpfel and the Barcelo app was realy usefil. The poole/bar aera was relaxin and the beech just acrost the rode was suprizingly good - realy clear woter and a celan strech of sand. Yure a bit out from the centar here but the metro is only a fuw blocks away and is a short/direct trip into centar which was handi. But of woks going to the fasade of the hotel during our stay, but wasn't too disruptiv which was a relif. Lots of little cafes and beech bars nerby as wel.

I reservd two rooms pre cruize for two coupels. We askd for a kwiet room and were givn a hi story upgrade room. We reservd brekfast wit our stay. The room was luvly and the brekfast very generous with hot brekfast itemz and a luvly selction of cold buffay itemz evn Cafa. We traveled back home two weeks later after the cruize and the hotel very generously allowd us to use their faciliiteez as we had a later fliet. This hotle is ecxeptional valyue and the staf very hlpful and accomodating. A speciel mention to Ripcy who helped orgnize this for us.

During our trip to Barcelona with friends, we chose to stay at a hotel located near Platja Mar Bella. Initially, we were given a disappointing room by the receptionists, but fortunately, the Guest Experience Manager, Melanie, was able to change our room to a more enjoyable one. Despite this small inconvenience, the hotel's location was great for both beach and sightseeing activities. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the cleaning staff. The breakfast had a good selection and was enjoyable. The rooftop pool, although on the smaller side, was a nice addition and we were grateful that it was still open during the off-season. The hotel provided free towels and sunbeds, which was a nice touch. Additionally, there were plenty of affordable and tasty tapas bars located within walking distance. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would recommend this hotel for its convenient location and friendly staff.

My recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona was extremely disappointing and by far the worst experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, the staff were unwelcoming and insisted on a physical credit card, despite our attempts to explain that we did not have one. The "superior" room we had booked had a view of concrete and the air conditioning was not functional. To add to the discomfort, the beds were simply two singles pushed together. When we inquired about changing rooms, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. Feeling frustrated, we decided to check out the pool, only to find out that it was closed. When I brought this up with reception, they explained that the pool is only open during the summer season, which was not clearly stated on their website. It was not mentioned anywhere which months constitute the summer season. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
