Occidental Atenea Mar - Adults Only

Liked · I stayed at this hotel for a festival and the location was great - only a minute away! The facilities were clean and well-maintained, making it easy to enjoy the pool and rooftop for a refreshing drink. It was also very close to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro stop with plenty of restaurants in the area. There were also lots of skaters staying at the hotel so it was easy to socialize. Disliked · This time I ended up paying more than last year, even though everything was the same. The room we were in was much smaller; our first stay had two separate beds and a sofa, but this time we didn't have enough space to open up our suitcases! For the price, the rooms should have been bigger. I asked to switch rooms but they said the hotel was fully booked. I booked my room 9 months in advance so I was expecting more. I'm not sure if I will return since for the same price there are other options, even apartments that are more spacious.

I booked a three night stay in this accommodation, however the first night proved to be a disappointment. Water pressure was shockingly poor and despite it being the middle of the night, there was no hot water. Having no choice, I had to take a brief cold shower, later resulting in a nasty headache. The following morning, I asked to be moved to another room, yet the receptionist initially refused. After further insisting, she finally agreed at the condition of vacating the room and retrieving a new key at two o'clock in the afternoon. Needless to say, this was inconvenient beyond belief, not to mention that I had already paid for three consecutive nights. My vacation plans were more or less ruined, and for that reason I would strongly advise against staying in this hotel.

I recently stayed at this accommodation and had a good experience. The bedroom was comfortable, although those looking for a true double bed should be aware that in my room it was two single mattresses side-by-side. Some parts of the property are located near a road, so soundproofing could be improved. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooftop swimming pool was a great spot for a little dip and relaxation.

The room was nice and modern, the bed comfortable.

We stayed at this Adults Only hotel for its ?️?location and stunning ??rooftop space. Although the pool was just a small plunge pool, it was a great experience to relax in the sunny ?☀️ terrace with sunbeds and a bar, which unfortunately started to close between 5.30-6pm - even if access was available until 8pm. The room was very nice and modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. ????

This Occidental Atenea Mar - Adults Only hotel in Barcelona was a wonderful place to stay! The facilities are superb, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is highly commended. The pool area was an especially nice area to relax and take in the view. The hotel is outside of the centre, but taxis were always available. The staff were not only friendly but incredibly helpful, particularly Melanie who was in daily contact organising surprises for my sister's birthday. Our only slight criticism would be that the pool bar service could have been quicker - with just one server most of the time - although this didn't really impede our stay in any way. All in all, we had a fabulous time and would definitely consider returning in the future!
