This hotel was a major disappointment. Despite its supposed 3-star rating, it was no better than a mattress in an alley. I ended up leaving after a couple of hours and booking a much better and cheaper 3-star hotel just 200 meters away. The only positive aspect was its proximity to restaurants and shopping, but this also meant dealing with constant noise. The hotel was poorly maintained - one elevator was broken and the other only worked intermittently, while the phone in my room didn't work at all. The room was unbearably hot, and the front desk's suggestion to open the door and window for ventilation only resulted in a loss of privacy. The chemical smell in the room was overwhelming and caused me to feel sick and get a headache. When I raised these issues with the staff, they were unhelpful and even suggested I pay to switch rooms. Moreover, the thin walls meant I could hear my neighbor using the bathroom and the building would shake every time the metro passed by. I know this may sound like an exaggeration, but I assure you, this was my experience at this hotel. I strongly recommend looking for accommodations elsewhere.

? If you want a peaceful night's sleep, this place is not for you... Pros: the room was ? clean. Perfectly located in the heart of las ramblas. I personally found the bed ? comfortable, but my husband disagreed. The reception staff were ? friendly and ? helpful. Cons: every time a metro passed by, the room would rattle ?. There's a pub/club ? below the hotel which seems to be open ? ALL night, and people ? loiter outside at all hours, making a lot of noise. The music ? from the club could be heard ?️ clearly in our room on the second floor.

During our recent stay in Barcelona, we were amazed by the central location of our hotel. It was incredibly convenient for exploring the seafront, city, and old town. The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, with Lia assisting us in planning our daily activities and Nerea being a delight. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant manager was very welcoming. The rooms were cozy and cozy, despite the chilly December weather, and impeccably clean. We were particularly enamored with the charmingly worn decor that perfectly suited the building. And the view from our balcony left us speechless. We are already planning to return.

After reading various reviews, I was initially apprehensive about staying at the Ramblas Hotel in Barcelona. However, I am pleased to say that my experience there was nothing short of fantastic. From the warm and friendly welcome at reception to the stunning views from my room (606) overlooking La Rambla, I was thoroughly impressed. The room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring all the necessary amenities such as a TV, small fridge, and a safe. My only minor complaint, which is why I have given a rating of 4/5, is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities. But this was no surprise to me as I had read about it in other reviews and had brought my own.

The continental breakfast was enjoyable with a diverse selection of cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads, pastries, as well as meats and cheeses. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a real treat and you could see it being prepared right in front of you. The staff at the breakfast room were constantly cleaning and always on their feet. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable and I noticed that they were currently in the process of redecorating.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable, and we were able to find a great bar just outside called Cafe Gran Ramblas. While it may not have the flashiest exterior, the prices were reasonable and the cocktails were delicious (€8.40). The food options varied in price, but were definitely competitive. As for the noise level, some reviewers had mentioned it being an issue, but in my opinion, it is to be expected in a bustling tourist area like this.

Upon check-out, we were pleased to find a luggage room with lockers that could be accessed with a keycard (€2). We were able to comfortably store our two carry-on cases and backpacks before heading out for our flight. Overall, the Ramblas Hotel exceeded our expectations and we hope to return in the future.

The location of this accommodation was optimal, with plenty of dining options and bars nearby. It was conveniently positioned near popular tourist attractions and had reliable transportation options. However, the lack of positive aspects ends there. Our room was situated inside the building, which was marketed as having a window. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the window was actually a patio door that opened onto what appeared to be an elevator shaft. The room was uncomfortably warm and stuffy due to the absence of a window for fresh air. The hotel boasts air conditioning, but we were informed it had been turned off and were advised to leave the controls off in the room. We were only staying for three nights, so we were able to tolerate the discomfort, but any longer would have been unbearable. Despite requesting a fan, we were informed that they were not available. Leaving the patio door open to alleviate the heat also meant hearing everything happening in the neighboring rooms, making for a noisy stay. It's a shame as this hotel has great potential if they address the issues with air circulation and temperature control.
