The Ramblas Hotel was an okay stay. The rooms were tidy and there were fresh towels available daily. Unfortunately, there was an abundance of noise from the street, so sleeping was tricky at times, not helped by the Irish pub two doors away. Furthermore, the walls were paper-thin, allowing us to hear our neighbouring guest's sink, shower and toilet flushes. Breakfast was serviceable, if pretty basic. Overall, it would be nice to see the hotel modernised.
We stayed at a hotel located on the top floor that had a private terrace. Our room featured a private bathroom and was tidy and cozy. We found the breakfast to be satisfactory, with a range of options such as cheese, ham, cereal, orange juice, hot drinks, etc. The staff was very helpful, and they provided free luggage storage on the first floor, as well as pay-to-use lockers.
The Ramblas Hotel in Barcelona is an excellent place to stay while visiting the city. Located in the vibrant tourist area of the city, all the attractions and amenities are within walking distance, including public transport and tour buses. Our four night stay here far exceeded our expectations for a 3 star hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the included breakfast provided delicious food options with excellent variety. We would highly recommend this hotel to others and will not hesitate to stay here again.
I had a really bad experience staying at the Ramblas Hotel. To start, the room I was given was advertised as an 'interior' room, which basically meant it had no windows. This was very misleading and the hotel should have listed it as a room with no windows in the first place. Secondly, when I arrived at the hotel there was no availability according to the receptionist, even though there were rooms available on booking.com and other OTAs. This was highly unprofessional and it completely put me off. The 'breakfast' was also incredibly basic. What was there was the cheapest of the cheapest cheese, coldcut and bread. The 'coffee' was also just an unidentifiable liquid - it had nothing to do with coffee. Lastly, the photos of the hotel were clearly not accurate. What was displayed online was not representative of the rooms I encountered during my stay. This was really disappointing.
Review of Barcelona Spain. Ramblas Hotel Friday 30.12.22- Sat 31.12.22: This hotel is conveniently located very close to Liceu Station, and on the bustling La Ramblas Street. The room we stayed in was Room 801, with a view of the back of the building area. Although basic, it was complete with refrigerator, safe and a bathroom. The breakfast was quite basic and didn't include eggs, however the price was quite high. Noise levels were very disruptive with inconsiderate staff next to a broom closet, as well as sound coming from the bathroom in the adjacent room. We weren't able to get a double bed that we had requested during our booking. Nevertheless, there are some good food and coffee spots nearby – highly recommended is El Ray De Istanbul for their Paella and Baklava, and Gelatiamo for amazing Krepes, ice cream and cappuccinos.
