Check in was a nightmare. Upon arrival, our room was not ready despite the fact that it was the advertised check in time. The receptionist was extremely rude when we attempted to explain the situation to her. We have never had such a terrible experience before with a hotel. People who have such a negative attitude definitely should not be working in customer service. The view from the room overlooked the bustling streets of Barcelona, but this did not make up for the poor service. Do not stay at Ramblas Hotel- it is not worth it!
I stayed at Ramblas Hotel and had a great experience. The location was perfect, right at the centre of town, and the reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and had some great views. The terrace was huge and gorgeous! My only gripe was breakfast which was too busy at times. I went in early and had to wait for a table, but after 10am there were plenty of tables available. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!
This Hotel is definitely a great value for the Ramblas area. The location is unbeatable and it's conveniently situated to take advantage of all the area has to offer. The room was comfortable, although some of the walls tiles are a bit worn. The breakfast selection was good and the prices are quite reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with no frills. The downside is it is a bit dated, but its old-world charm adds to its character.
