Whilst travelling to Barcelona from Lloret De Mar, we decided to stay here for the night. Unfortunately, there was no chance of an early checkin, so we had to leave our bags at the cost of 2 euros. The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect; however, it really needed a renovation. The television didn't work and the decor was outdated. The 9th floor room with a terrace was a saving grace though, as it had stunning vistas of the palace rooftops. Breakfast was good, with enough food to satisfy your expectations for a city hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. A little refurb and we'll be back!
Just stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with the wife for a birthday surprise. The location was fantastic, right on La Ramblas, and the staff on reception were polite and helpful. The room was spacious and got cleaned daily, even though it was a bit basic for what we normally go for. Breakfast was continental and provided plenty of options for the morning. You can find lots of places to eat and drink on Las Ramblas, but the prices are steep. If you want to go cheaper you can find plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes of walking, which provide great food and drinks at half the price. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a central stay in the city.
This basic accommodation is situated in the middle of the bustling tourist hub. The decor is a bit outdated, but the room was clean and serviced daily. Unfortunately, the bed was quite uncomfortable and did not offer much support. Street noise and vibrations from the subway below were audible in the room. The included continental breakfast was quite basic, with cold cuts, bread rolls, cereal, pastries, juice and coffee machine all on offer. The staff were friendly. We'd recommend keeping away from the restaurants near the area, as they unfortunately appear to be tourist traps with prices that are far too inflated.
Our experience here was highly positive. The double room we stayed in had a balcony that overlooked the main street. The receptionist was very friendly, and the room was impressively clean. The shower was hot and had a strong force, while the fridge, although aged, was useful. Breakfast wasn't extravagant, but it was adequate. The hotel's location couldn't have been better.
This hotel had a fantastic central location. It was great for what we needed - pretty basic, but had everything for a 3 night stay. The maids came each day to keep our room in a spotless condition. The buffet breakfast was ample to fill us up and the orange juice was freshly squeezed - perfect! The people on reception were really helpful, and our room had a nice balcony with views of other buildings. Building work started at around 9am but it was very quiet. If you need a bed in a tidy and clean hotel for a few nights, this one would be a great recommendation. Super!
