During my recent trip to Barcelona, I booked a room at a hotel near the famous Ramblas street. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find out that I had been downgraded to a smaller room without any prior notice. Despite paying for a higher room category, I was given a room that was not what I had booked. When I inquired about the reason, I was told that there were technical issues and the room I originally booked was not available. However, given the size of the hotel, I found it hard to believe that my chosen room was not accessible. It seemed like I was deliberately pushed out of the room I had booked. Although the hotel offered a small discount or a room at another hotel, it was too late for me to change my plans. I have a feeling that management will come up with the same excuses when reading this review, but I feel it's important to warn others. My advice? Avoid this hotel.
The hotel's location was absolutely fantastic! The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and accommodating upon our arrival. They always greeted us with a smile and were very helpful whenever we needed assistance. Our family of 8 had a comfortable stay at the hotel. While the rooms could use some updating, the overall price and location would definitely bring us back. We opted to dine elsewhere, as there were plenty of dining options right outside the hotel. Our biggest thank you goes to the reception for arranging our FC Barcelona tickets ?.
I had a disappointing stay at the "Royal Ramblas" Hotel in Barcelona. My room was poorly furnished and showed signs of wear and tear. To top it off, the TV did not work and the shower had bad water pressure. I was also disturbed by the loud noise made by the cleaning staff during their work. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was not up to par either. Considering the high price of staying at this hotel, I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience and will not be returning. This was my first and last time staying here.
I had a fantastic experience at my recent stay in Barcelona. The hotel's location was unbeatable, and the rooms were cozy, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The breakfast selection was diverse and of exceptional quality. As someone with a gluten-free diet, I was thrilled to find hot gluten-free bread and muffins served every morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. My only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the coffee offered at the breakfast buffet.
Our accommodations were located in the most ideal location in Barcelona, with convenient access to all the attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and the premises were impeccably clean. The only downside was that our room's window lacked a view and only faced another room's window. Other than that, everything else was flawless. We also appreciated the presence of a safe in the room.
