Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou

Following my booking through Opodo, I embarked on my journey to the accommodation and attempted to contact them six times to inform them of my late arrival - with no answer each time. Disheartened, I gave up on trying to reach them. Upon arrival, I was surprised to be asked to pay a daily Spanish tourist tax at check-in, despite thinking that all fees had been included in my booking with Opodo. No other outstanding fees were mentioned. To my disappointment, the room did not come equipped with a kettle or any means of making tea or coffee as shown in the pictures and promised upon booking. I did manage to obtain a kettle later, but was only provided with flimsy paper cups in the room that could not withstand the heat of hot water. To add to my unfortunate experience, I woke up the next morning to a strong smell of sewage coming from the displaced bathroom fan. The odor was so pungent that it even affected the smell of my towels. I was informed that this issue could not be resolved until the day before my departure, so I had no choice but to endure it. No alternative room was offered or any apology for the inconvenience was given.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Barcelona during my trip in October. The location was easily accessible by bus B20/25 and the room, although basic, was clean. However, the construction work outside woke us up every morning without any warning from the staff. It would have been more convenient if we were given a room away from the noise. Unfortunately, when we mentioned this to the other guests, they had also experienced the same issue and no alternate rooms could be provided. As a result, we didn't bother bringing it up to the hotel's attention. Housekeeping could be heard loudly talking in the corridors early in the morning, disturbing guests who were still asleep. Additionally, the bathroom drains were clogged which made it difficult for the water to drain when we brushed our teeth or showered. We were only provided with one hand towel and the bath towels were quite small, although they were changed daily. However, the beds were comfortable and the pillows were good. It was a shame that there was no safe or hairdryer in the room, so we had to pay an extra 10 euro to rent one, which was refunded at the end of our stay. Overall, while the bed and room were satisfactory, I wouldn't choose to stay here again for the price of €140 per night.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at this hotel for their help and kindness. They were instrumental in making our stay a positive experience. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre and public transportation. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a brief but really nice stay at this hotel. Its location is ideal, right at the heart of the city, and the accommodation was incredibly comfortable. Everything was kept clean throughout the stay, which was much appreciated. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Many thanks to them.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms were very comfortable and the location was ideal - just 15 minutes away from the city center by metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and parking was available nearby. It was only a five minute walk to the beach and there were plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. We would definitely stay here again!
