I stayed at the Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou and it was really great for the price. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and there was plenty of food to choose from. The hotel was conveniently located in a nice district and Yuri the staff member was very friendly and helpful. The lobby had a pleasant atmosphere with some nice background music, which was an added bonus. Check-in was also very quick and easy. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff at the reception weren't particularly welcoming, making no effort to explain how things work and where to go. The room we had booked for 3 people was tiny, and wouldn't have even fit a family of 4. We only had one small shelf, 5 hangers and 3 pillows. There were 4 small plastic cups, but these weren't replaced during our stay, so we had to ask for new ones. The water was cold at the beginning of each shower, and at the end of our stay, no one even asked us how it went. Moreover, we were supposed to have a kettle and tea in the room, but this was not the case.
This hotel is bustling and feels more like a dormitory or a tourist trap. Although it's close to the beach and some great eateries, getting to the tourist attractions requires a substantial fare of either $10 for a taxi or a lengthy bus and train ride. The accommodation is not particularly well looked after but the rooms are spacious. If you don't have to settle for this particular place, try elsewhere; the value for money is not great.
We stayed at a hotel in Barcelona that we thought should have been ?, however it was very poor ?. We had a few problems with the bath, sink and toilet, and these weren't even resolved ?. It was also quite noisy, and we weren't informed about the building view prior to booking?. The breakfast was good ?, but apart from that there was nothing positive about it. ?♂️
We have stayed at the Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou many times over the past few years with our baby and our 7 and 9 year-old kids. The hotel's fabulous location, next to the Poble Nou Rambla and a short walk away from the beach, is one of the main reasons for our return visits. This time, however, we wanted to especially thank Mr. Pepper at reception for being extremely helpful in printing and scanning documents necessary for our business, and with our other small requirements that come with having a baby. We are very grateful for his assistance and it made our stay very pleasant. We will definitely be back.
