I did a tour of Europe and I can honestly say that I'm so glad I chose the Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou hotel for one of my stays. The location was the perfect 10 - close to restaurants, train stations, buses, taxis, and THE BEACH. Plus, I felt safe in the area. To top it off, the staff was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Mr. Peppers checked me in and gave me such useful information about the city and the hotel, which made me love the place even more. In the end, I decided to extend my stay for a couple extra days. I'm already looking forward to going back and staying at the Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou again!
The staff at this hotel were particularly helpful in making our stay extra special. They decorated our room with balloons for my husband's birthday - a sweet gesture we both enjoyed. It is also conveniently located near the Ramala de Poblenou and close to the beach. Highly recommended.
This hotel has gone way downhill since previous visits, which is sad since it's in an ideal location. On this stay, the cot-like beds had saggy, painful mattresses; one was on wheels (!), making it a somewhat unsafe situation if you get out of bed and don't anticipate the bed to move out from under you. Additionally, the weather was chilly with no blankets accessible, even from reception. The sink and toilet kept blocking. It felt uncomfortable and unpleasant.

Nina was outstanding after I lost my passport. She provided me with all the information I needed to find the embassy and the best and most affordable solution. Her customer service was absolutely top-notch - she was so understanding and really went above and beyond. I can't thank her enough - 10/10!

I stayed at the Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou Hotel during my recent visit to Barcelona and I'm surprised to see some of the negative reviews about it. This hotel is part of the Travelodge chain and that is reflected in its price range, however the location is absolutely ideal for the beach and there are great transport links to all areas of the city. The surrounding area is lovely with tree-lined streets, perfect for people-watching. The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are multilingual and helpful, and willing to provide things like hairdryers and duvets. There are also vending machines nearby. In the evening, the bar is open, and there's also the option to go to Rambles for food and drinks. On check-out, Esther made sure that our stay was good. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if someone just wants a good room at a great location.
