? Enjoyed our stay! Room was spacious and tidy, but the AC ?️ wasn't effective and our room faced a noisy street, making it difficult to sleep even with the windows open. ?Fitness center was top-notch for a complete workout. ?Location was ideal in a peaceful area. ? Rooftop bar was adorable and tranquil. Would definitely return and suggest to others.

This week I had to cancel a Med Cruise; a couple days in Sitges, and a stay in Barcelona, due to my traveling companion being denied flight boarding for the New York-Barcelona leg of the trip; due to the EU 3 month passport rule we did not know about. Having had 3 heart procedures last year, I was unwilling to go alone. Why mention this; everyone was helpful with at least partial refunds, except for the accommodations. And that's too bad as I stayed with them several times in the past (before Covid and the heart surgeries). So I am also addressing their strict cancellation policy. Obviously I could not cancel 30 days earlier when we were literally at the Airport checking in TO FLY to Spain and had to abort the trip. I agree about the friendly front-desk staff and rooms, Sky Bar and so on; as that is why I wanted to return to the hotel after the cruise. Now yes they made 'an exception' and allowed changing the dates; which I've done after several emails (I appreciate the staff especially as they recommended a refund but it was not agreed). I preferred NOT to plan next Summer at this point, but I picked a couple dates at what I thought was the same rate. It is; but then they confirmed it and said it also would be non-refundable... and they hit my Amex card with a further charge. I did not dispute it and 'sort of' appreciate the effort to do something. However I never cancelled before, and other hotels took one night 'penalty', and I understand that, since we didn't show up. But this is for days from now and they are probably overbooked as it is; so seems a little lacking in shall we say 'compassion', by not just refunding the charge to my Amex (I booked through them directly so no online agency involved) and welcoming me back next year if my health and cruise schedule permits. Instead I arbitrarily picked dates at the end of next year's cruise I might do; and cross my fingers while being charged even more. This is a weird kind of customer service and even Delta Airlines was far more accommodating than that and even paid for a hotel in New York for the one night 'trip in vain' trying to make it to Spain. So some gesture beyond taking more money for next year's possible trip would be welcomed, even though clearly it seems like the staff 'wants' to be more helpful and understanding than their management will allow. I had just referred my personal physician and his friend to the hotel in Madrid & Barcelona next month; and now I have to warn them about the cancellation policies and lack of staff's willingness or authority to be a bit more human in situations. So yes I will go if able next year; but they will read this and possibly be hostile; in a scenario where what they should do is return all or most of my money and hope to welcome me in the future. This accommodation was really great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were true to their word about being LGBTQ+ friendly and we had a wonderful time. There were lots of tasty dining options in the vicinity and the metro station was only a short 10 minute walk away.

This hotel's rooftop sky bar is one of the most amazing experiences in eixample. Superb views, great tunes, and lots of fun to be had. The staff were so welcoming and really made us feel like we belonged. Our experience was further enhanced with the help of Daniel, the PR, who genuinely made sure we were comfortable and secure. We are already planning our next visit!
