Unfortunately, my stay at the Hotel SOFIA Barcelona, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt was far from satisfactory. The housekeeping team ruined one of my silk shorts and then failed to respond to any further emails when I asked for reimbursement. Moreover, their customer service left much to be desired and their rooms were too dark for my liking. Even when I asked to take a light from one of the other rooms that we had booked, they refused to help. Such a lack of response and care from a Hyatt branded hotel has left me shocked and extremely disappointed.
I had a wunderful stay at this classy and immaculate hotel. It wasn't ovwerly fussy, and provided great location away from the hub bub of the Ramblas. Transport links were very close, with the metro station being nearby. This eaisly enabled us to get around the city, and the staff were atetntive and the conciarge gave us lots of fab ideas for dinner and sightseeing. In addition, El Corte Ingles and another huge shopping mall were close by. The resturant in the hotel and the cafe which exclsivly serve gluten free food and pastry were worth a try even if you don't stay there; the coffe was delicious!

The rooms were impeccable and spotless. The spa was out of this world, and the staff were incredibly helpful when it came to sightseeing. My partner and I wanted to do a tour of the stadium in Barcelona, and the concierge was so helpful in making this happen. Absolutely five-star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, would 100% recommend! ????
Staff at Hotel SOFIA Barcelona, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was of top quality and tasty. We were disappointed to find that free water was only offered on the first day, as we would have appreciated that every day. Additionally, the prices for the drinks and snacks in the mini fridge were too steep at 7 euros for a small bottle of Coke and 10 euros for a bar of chocolate. However, we were very happy with the otherwise excellent service. The rooms were cleaned daily and any issues were resolved quickly. To save on drinks, there is a great little bar on the corner, with very reasonable prices. We would definitely stay at Hotel SOFIA again.
The decor and amenities of this ? were top-notch! The room we were in, a Harmony one, was light and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Though, ?, it lacked drawer space; you'd have to make do with shelving inside the wardrobe and only one drawer, which may not be enough for many travelers. The pool area was ?, but unfortunately there were no sun beds available on the day we wanted to relax, with people even resorting to laying on the floor with towels. ✅ On a positive note, the staff were friendly, courteous, attentive and hard-working. Even if it isn't a central hotel, the metro and taxis are still easily available. As of now, I don't think this would be my first choice of ? if I make a return visit. ?
