Grand Hyatt Barcelona

Stayed at The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Barcelona, and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. During my stay, items were taken from my wardrobe when I was out of the room. Although the hotel manager acknowledged that only housekeeping had access to my room, they still denied the theft and offered no help.

This place was ?. Though the air conditioning could've been a bit cooler, all the rooms had it pre-set. ?Location-wise, it was quite great, right by the University of Barcelona. ?The breakfast was incredible and totally worth checking out. The staff were so helpful and friendly. ?I would highly recommend it. ?

This modern hotel offers a great range of amenities and the staff are friendly and helpful. You'll find the location to be conveniently close to public transport and a host of local amenities, like shops, restaurants, and parks. I had a few issues which the staff did their best to resolve. However, the complimentary coffee was not replenished each day, water was not always available in the gym, and the mini bar was overpriced. The hotel rooms offer plenty of complimentary items, but no iron or cups/spoons. I would stay again, though with the hope that my issues this time would not be repeated.

I stayed at the HoteL SOFIA Barcelona, in The Unbaund Collection by Hyatt and I had a very disapointing experience. I reported a theift that ocurred this morining, whillst my hand luggage was held in baggage hold until Monday. The hotel is saying they are investigating, however they are suggesting they are not liable for items that are not stored in their safe or depisite boxes?? That means that their staff can go into peole's luggages and/or rooms when they are storing/protecting them and steal items! Their staff is clearly not trusworthy. The staff today had a "manana manana" approch and they haven't taken this seriously as they should, includding checking their security footage.

This hotel was great - we opted for it because of its fantastic pool and gym. The price was definitely worth it and we really appreciated the helpfulness of Daniel poolside who we knew from the W Hotel. The only downside was the location, which was a bit far from the center of town. Another slight issue was the check out policy, which charged 25% of the room price for 1 hour, 50% for 2 hours and full price after that (which was around 300€). This was despite the room having been booked as a member.
