Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona

All in all, a perfect place to spend a few leisure days in Barcelona.

We stayed at the Hilton Diagonal Mar last month and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is incredibly well located and there are so many attractions and shopping just a few steps away. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and accommodating. But the real highlight was the pool area. It is one of the best we have ever seen in a city hotel with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available for free. The pool is huge and the views are amazing. Plus, the Puro Beach staff are very friendly and offer great service. Plus, the food and drinks menu is varied and delicious and served with a smile. This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Barcelona and we can't wait to come back!

we had stayed previously our check in was really efficient. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the beds are really comfortable. Our only issue was that the room was quite hot without air conditioning but this was sorted by a fan being provided. The pool area is lovely with good views and plenty of chairs for relaxing. There is also a bar/restaurant you can have lunch or a snack. Check out was efficient and friendly.

Although this hotel is slightly further away from the main tourist attractions, it’s still well situated across from the sea. There’s a host of amenities close by, with a taxi rank just beside the building and an excellent shopping centre opposite. Upon arriving, we were welcomed warmly and professionally, and as we had stayed before, check-in was super efficient. The room was modern and spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfy. It was a little warm without air conditioning, however, a fan resolved this issue. The pool area had lovely views and plenty of sun loungers, plus there’s a bar/restaurant for lunch or snacks. We’d also recommend checking out Poble Nou Cemetery which is only a 30 minute walk away. Our stay ended on a friendly and efficient note at checkout.

Staying at this hotel was definitely a mixed bag - ?????To begin with, when I checked in there were a few hiccups - the computer didn't work and I wasn't given my key right away. Even in-room dining charged for tray pickup (it was left in the corridor all night!) ??. Eating in the restaurant was also a letdown - my fish was cold and I had to remind them about my side dish! ??‍♀️ And stay away from the cheesecake!? Lastly, the breakfast was chaotic, with some of the worst fried eggs ever ??. On the plus side, the staff in the banquet hall were very attentive ??, and when I was wrongly charged for a flip chart it was quickly rectified. ?

Great service, comfortable hotel. Near bus, metro and subway stations ?. We bought 72-hour Hola Barcelona card that proved worth the price ? due to the hotel location being farther away from main tourist areas. Mall across the street is convenient ?. As Diamond members we were upgraded to a lovely room with a better view ? but was smaller than our originally booked room. We were two adults and one 15 yr old ?. Even though the hotel was very busy with business groups the Front Dest was most understanding and quickly moved us to a different room that would accommodate a roll-away ? with enough space for the three of us. Lounge offered happy hour 5-7 with snacks ?and drinks, including alcohol ?and during the day coffee☕️, tea, juice, soda, whole fruit ?and nuts. AC worked alright but was not the greatest ?. ?

The location of Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona is excellent, however I had a very different experience. Breakfast was cold, the rooms are tiny and quite outdated. To make things worse, the lifts are slow and have to be shared with a lot of other guests. The twin beds are the smallest size possible and there is no room service. The bellboy wasn't present in the morning, so you have to manage check-out yourself. Taking this into account, I suggest you think twice before booking this hotel.
