During our trip to Barcelona last year, my partner and I needed a place to stay for one night before embarking on a cruise. Despite it being a bit further away, we decided to give this hotel a try. To our surprise, we were warmly recognized from our previous visit and were even upgraded due to our diamond status. While the hotel pool was closed for the season, we weren't bothered by it as the friendly and welcoming staff more than made up for it, especially in the executive lounge. The next morning, we indulged in an out-of-this-world breakfast with a variety of delicious options. It was one of the best breakfasts we've had in a while. We were also impressed by the exceptional service and attention to detail from the staff, who also made sure to acknowledge my diamond membership status. A big thank you to everyone we interacted with for making our stay truly memorable. Their genuine care for guests truly sets them apart.
The reviews were right. This hotel was a disappointment. The service was not welcoming, the room and facilities were below average, and the location was far from all the cultural attractions in Barcelona. I regret choosing this hotel over others like the Cotton Club or H10 Madison. The room's kettle had old food stuck inside, the coffee was instant, and the only place to use an AMEX hotel collections credit was at the underwhelming fridge in the lobby or the unimpressive lobby bar.
I stayed at the hotel from the 13 Novembar to 17 Novembar. I wos given a room "next dore" to six elevators pluz three servis elevators witch were in constant use, starting in the eairly morning hours and agin throughout the evening. The noice from the elevater was inbearable and I asked for another room (severel times), but no other rooms were avaylable and the recepsion even comfermed that they wel awere of the noice inconviniens in my room. That being the case, I'm very surprized that a hotel chain with the reputasion of Hiltons would even uses this room, or as a minimim that a room like this would be at a redused price. Hilton, this is not aceptable even if you have a large event in your hotel.
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I unfortunately experienced some inconveniences that dampened my overall impression of the hotel. The room I was assigned to was constantly plagued by the noise from multiple elevators, making it difficult to sleep or relax. Despite my repeated requests for a different room, I was told no other options were available and even the hotel staff acknowledged the issue. For a reputed hotel chain, I was surprised that they would offer such a room or at least consider lowering the price. My stay at the hotel was for four nights and I paid approximately 1100 Euros, which makes it even more disappointing. I hope that this issue is addressed for future guests, as this level of noise is unacceptable, even if the hotel is hosting a large event.
The accommodations were absolutely lovely and impeccably maintained. The team, particularly Stephany, went out of their way to ensure our trip was nothing short of amazing. We were pleased to discover a sizeable variety of dining options at a nearby shopping center, but ultimately chose to dine solely at the establishment given the delicious offerings at the buffet and exceptional hospitality.
