The hotel's handicap room was a pleasant surprise - unlike most others, it had a spacious layout, was well-equipped, and had a lovely front street view instead of facing a wall, A/C unit, or maintenance facility. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to Plaza de Catalunya and Pg. de Gràcia for shopping, dining, and exploring Barcelona. However, the service could use some improvement, especially for handicapped guests. The restaurant was also nothing exceptional in terms of appearance or quality, but the breakfast buffet had a good variety and reasonable prices. The location also offers great value for its price, compared to other options. As a member of IHG, there are both pros and cons - you get recognition, points, and convenience, but miss out on the local culture.
The hotel's location was ideal, and that was the highlight of my stay. However, the reception service was lacking, with staff not recognizing my status and even charging me for amenities that should have been complimentary. On top of that, I was disappointed to find out that my friend was not allowed to sit in the lobby area. The room I was "upgraded" to, 203, was far from an upgrade. It was worn out, with bed heads that looked ancient and a shower door that was corroded and falling apart. The plastic joint was broken and the room, which was only 12sqm, left much to be desired. The only decent thing was the nespresso machine, but even that was stocked with subpar capsules. Overall, my experience at this hotel for 145 euros felt like a waste of money.
? My stay was ? in Barcelona! The room was spacious and updated, complete with a cute balcony overlooking the bustling main street. ?The location was perfect, with plenty of local amenities and delicious tapas bars just steps away. Perfect for a quick 2-3 day city break, but maybe not for a longer stay. The staff were super friendly and the cleaners did a fantastic job while I was out exploring. ?
This was my second stay at this hotel and, as always, it was a fantastic experience with exceptional staff. The only thing that struck me as odd was that housekeeping did not knock before entering the room. However, the front desk and bar staff were absolutely fantastic and made my stay even more enjoyable. I have every intention of returning in the future.
My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. One staff member in particular, Angelica, stood out for her kindness and helpfulness. Thanks to her great recommendations, we were able to make the most out of our time in Barcelona. Our children also had a great time and we are already planning to return.
