The accommodation was impeccably sanitized and impeccably organized. The reception team, led by Raquel, went above and beyond to provide exceptional assistance. We greatly appreciated their personable and professional demeanor. Mohammed, Xavier, and David, who are responsible for security and the hotel entrances, also offered valuable insights on local attractions that matched our pre-planned itinerary. Our 7-night stay was a dream come true, with ample time to explore all we desired. The Gothic Quarter has a charming atmosphere, and feels safe and welcoming both day and night. We thoroughly enjoyed the street performers and picturesque boutiques scattered throughout. We will definitely be returning to this destination.
I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The hotel's location was ideal and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The rooms were pleasant, even though we didn't have a full view of the cathedral due to some trees blocking our sight. However, the view we did have was still enjoyable. The noise level was also manageable, especially when the windows were closed. There were many activities throughout the day and evening, but we were not disturbed if we kept the windows shut. It was quite entertaining to have outdoor performances just steps away from the hotel. The rooftop bar was also a highlight - although it often had a line of people waiting to get in, as a guest, we always had easy access.
This hotel was a great find for our stay in Barcelona. The location was unbeatable, just across from the beautiful Barcelona Cathedral. The room was elegant and tidy, and the highlight was definitely the terrace. It may be a bit expensive, but trust me, it's worth it. The best part was being able to walk to all the major attractions and sights. This was my first visit to the city and I was not let down. Highly recommend booking here!
The hotel's reception and dining staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They showed genuine care for the guests and made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were absolutely amazing and well-decorated. The manager, Mr. Raul, was fantastic and really made a positive impact on our stay. A standout feature was the delicious coffee served at breakfast. It was the perfect finishing touch to a great experience.
My experience at the Colón Hotel Barcelona was extremely disappointing. The bathroom was a complete joke, with no proper shower door or curtain, just a partial block wall. This resulted in water running all over the floor and even into the hallway, saturating the carpet. To make matters worse, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the furniture looked worn and beaten up. We specifically paid extra for a view of the cathedral, but were disappointed to find out that the building was under construction, making for a very noisy stay. We could hear people outside yelling until 2am, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. And to top it off, it was way overpriced. Definitely not worth the cost.
