it was a nightmare.
We stayed at a triple room and it was the perfect size. It was spotless and provided all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating. After a long day of sightseeing, we rested on the comfortable beds. The hotel is situated in a great area, surrounded by shops and restaurants. Plus, the view from the rooftop bar was incredible. We highly recommend it. The only downside was the noise from the family next door, as their rooms were not soundproof and we could hear everything, like fighting and door slamming. Other than that, everything was great.
Location at the Colón Hotel Barcelona is A++. We absolutely loved being able to explore the area around the cathedral, where there are street performers almost every night. The metro station is a few minutes away, making it easy for us to explore a lot more in the city. The rooftop bar at the hotel is an excellent place to relax with amazing views to take stunning photographs. However, as other reviews have mentioned, there is a sewer smell on the sixth floor which made its way into our room. Thankfully, we had some room sprays at hand and we were rarely in our room, so we decided to let it go. Overall, I would stay at the Colón Hotel Barcelona again, but I would want to make sure that the smell has been addressed beforehand.
Drinks on the rooftop with a ?front and centre view of the cathedral?. The ?sangria was delicious?. Unfortunately no shade?. Prices are ok? for a rooftop bar in Barcelona with that view?. No music? either unfortunately?. We were walk ins but it wasn’t busy?♀️..
We booked this despite a rather peculiar-sounding name and were not disappointed! From the moment of arrival at the air-conditioned and lovely lobby, it was clear the staff went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Raquel, Jaime, and Sergey were knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. Raquel took time to show us a map and recommended a perfect tapas bar and an incredible flamenco show. She was so warm and helpful and wanted us to have an amazing stay. Jaime gave us great information on the hop-on-hop-off bus and suggested stops of interest. He even booked a restaurant for us and we got to bypass the queue. The bedroom was clean and air-conditioned, with a comfy bed and pillows, a complimentary coffee machine, and two bottles of water. Our balcony had beautiful views, and the rooftop view was great for a glass of Prosecco on our arrival. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the heart of the city. We didn't hear any noise from other rooms either. Denise & Marc. x…
This cozy hotel in the Gothic Quarter offers a great location and stunning views of the Barcelona Cathedral from the rooftop bar. An excellent breakfast and close proximity to the local attractions were benefits of my stay. The only downside was the unreliable lift/elevator which seemed to be malfunctioning during my four night stay. In addition, a foul smell came and went in my room.
