Colón Hotel Barcelona

This place is all about the neighborhood. It is surrounded by stores and eateries, and the Barcelona Cathedral is right outside the door. If you keep in mind that the price you're paying is just for the location, then you'll be satisfied. However, if you're expecting friendly service, a nice room, and good amenities, then you might be disappointed. It has been highly recommended in various cruise chat rooms and even the taxi driver told us it was "good". Upon arriving, no one was at the door to help us with our luggage and no one from reception greeted us. When I asked about the room being ready, I was given a stony faced response. We had to phone reception to get the wifi code, which wasn't listed on the key or in the room. The air conditioning was off when we walked in, and it was difficult to cool down the room. For the price, the room was on the first floor and had very little natural light. There was only two towels in the bathroom, and noise from other guests was a problem. I felt unsafe at one point because of the group of teenagers/young people running and shouting outside our door. Reception gave us no information about the hotel, not even about the rooftop bar with a view of the cathedral. The elevators are old and small, and it takes forever for them to arrive. The television has no English channels, and nothing is explained, so you must find out for yourself. This hotel is just mediocre and you don't get much for what you pay for.

This hotel is full of great features! The amenities are top-notch, the interior is stunning, and the location is unbeatable. The staff were incredibly helpful and the rooftop bar is a must-see. Plus, there's no shortage of nearby bars! I'm already looking forward to my next stay here.

The stunning views and great location made for a wonderful atmosphere. Our drinks were delightful and the staff were both friendly and courteous. We had a fantastic time and will certainly be coming back soon! Our overall experience here was a real treat!

We visited the rooftop bar that offered some of the best elevated views of the cathedral. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the view was extraordinary. We highly recommend stopping for a refreshing beverage and to take in the breathtaking architecture of the cathedral. It felt like we were right in front of it.

My stay at the Colón Hotel Barcelona was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing directions, advice for local food options, and answering any questions I had. The rooms were spotless and kept clean each day. I particularly loved the 7th floor patio, which offered stunning views and delicious drinks.
