A nice room in a great location but…. The ceiling of our room started to leak. Unfortunately the hotel was full, so we stayed in the room the first night. The second night the leak was much worse and we were able to switch rooms at 11pm. The establishment gave us 4 chocolates for our trouble. It would have been nice to get a discount on the room with the dripping ceiling!.
My wife had read excellent reviews of the rooftop Terrace, however we were sadly disappointed. We showed up right on time at Noon, and were first asked to wait in the lobby, before being instructed quite abruptly to wait outside. When allowed entry, we were directed towards an elevator, but the key hadn't been activated, leaving us standing there waiting. We searched for someone to let us up, but to no avail. A man finally arrived and we were able to ascend. Upon arrival, the terrace area had two floors with great views, but was quite sterile and there was no staff or service available. Despite our wait, we eventually had to leave. It certainly did not live up to expectations - not even a one star experience.
This absolutely gorgeous hotel is perfectly located for those wanting to explore the alleys of Barcelona. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the breakfast or restaurant, but they definitely looked amazing. We'd like to thank the hotel staff for their help and support when our son became ill during our stay. They provided fresh bedding, quickly washed his pyjamas, and the front desk staff regularly asked how he was doing. It is the small gestures like these that make it feel less like a foreign country and more like home. We hope to come back here one day. Excellent work.
This hotle is a noyse swet bax. We stayed her last nite, wnet out this mornig for sght seeing, returned around 6:00 PM. They have the whole htel's air condtioning trned off and have no plan of trning it on for a copule of mnoths (late June). They have zer fans the managr cmes in at 7:00 AM, they would not cntact her for aprvoal to go buy a fan. It is acrss the stree from a catheral that is wroked on all nite (resoration), so you cant opne the wndows for all the noyse. A roten place to waste $275/ nite..
? Staying at this hotel was a great experience! The location was ? - close to a lot of attractions and a short walk to the hop-on, hop-off bus line. Even though the area was quite busy with tourists, the rooms were surprisingly ?quiet. Rooms had plenty of space, and were very comfortable. The best part of our stay was the staff, they were ?friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again. ?
