Colón Hotel Barcelona

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during early October. Our experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were exceptional, the room was immaculately clean and well-appointed, and we especially enjoyed the small patio where we could observe life down below in this part of the city. The highlight of the hotel was the beautiful rooftop patio with two floors. It was the perfect spot to take a break with a cold Estrella while gazing out at the square in front of the cathedral seven or eight floors below. The small pool on the rooftop was also a refreshing and relaxing addition. We would definitely consider staying at this establishment again, as it is centrally located in Barcelona and within easy walking distance of all the top-rated areas in the city. However, be aware that there is usually a long wait for a table on the patio in the evenings, so we recommend visiting in the afternoon. It's worth noting that only hotel guests are allowed on the patio, but it's still a great spot for enjoying the views if all the seats are taken. The rooftop patio only serves drinks and light snacks, but it was perfect for our needs. We arrived before check-in time, but the staff were very accommodating and stored our bags securely until our room was ready. They even helped us arrange an early morning taxi for our departure. Overall, the staff were fantastic - friendly, attentive, and always willing to help.

During our recent stay in Barcelona, we were fortunate enough to have found a gem of a hotel. During our trip to Barcelona from New Zealand, we initially stayed in an Airbnb but found it to be too noisy at night. As a last minute booking, we ended up staying at a hotel in a prime location. The rooms were pleasantly quiet and the included breakfast was delicious. After a busy day exploring the bustling city, we enjoyed relaxing in the tranquil lobby of the hotel. The rooftop bar offered a breathtaking view, making it a must-visit. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel I stayed at in Barcelona was truly breathtaking. Its prime location in the heart of the city was one of the best I have experienced during my travels in Europe. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional, always going out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The room was beautifully furnished and the balconies offered a lovely view of the bustling street below, perfect for sipping on a drink in the evenings. While I did not have the chance to dine at the restaurant, I did take a peek at the menu and was pleasantly surprised by its affordable prices.

? Don't book with Expedia! ? Paid for a ? cathedral view room, but got stuck with a side view (? see video) because we booked through a third party. ? Even though we booked 3 months in advance specifically for the view, the hotel couldn't do anything for us. Not even move us for one night because they were "sold out". Oh, and trash pickup right outside our window at 11:40pm and 7am. ?‍♂️ Absolutely ? unacceptable. Check out the pics for proof.
