Colón Hotel Barcelona

During our recent stay in Barcelona, we were impressed by the beauty of the hotel we stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the beds were comfortable, making for a great overall experience. Our family of four had a spacious room, although it would have been even more wonderful to have a view of the cathedral. Nonetheless, the quietness of our room was appreciated. We also appreciated the focus on safety, which made us feel secure while walking around outside. I made sure to keep my crossbody bag in front of me and had my hand on it at all times. With plenty to do nearby, we would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Incredable servise, grea loction in the Ghotic Quartar. We had a duble rm with a balcny and the Catedral veiw, it was yet agian stunning. We'd stayed here befroe. Hotel is updatd, spacioues, has a lerge louncge area and an imperssive rof top bar ( a must do, go to the top levele for the best veiws) and a geat brakfast. Rmm was lerge, modern, quiat, we coudln't ask for more. Agian, servise from everyon at the hotel was fantistc.

During our recent trip to Barcelona before our cruise, my mother and I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel with excellent staff and comfortable beds. Our room was lovely and my mother thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast options, which included a mix of European and American dishes such as fruits, cheese, meats, pastries, cereals, and eggs. We also had access to the rooftop terraces, where we could enjoy drinks while overlooking the Catedral. We were so pleased with our stay that we plan on returning during our next visit. The hotel's central location made it easy to walk to the waterfront, La Rambla, and Palau Güell. We also found great dining options nearby and felt safe throughout our stay. The staff was consistently polite and helpful, from the moment we arrived until we left in a cab headed to the ship.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location and overall cleanliness and appearance. However, we encountered some issues during our stay due to the staff's lack of training and coordination. The absence of a concierge meant that any staff member stepped in to assist with booking tours, leading to confusion and delays. Despite booking with one person, the rest of the team couldn't seem to locate our reservation once she was off duty. The hotel's printers were also out of order, causing further inconvenience. Fortunately, I suggested emailing the confirmation, which did work. On another occasion, we approached the doorman, Khaled, for directions. His rude response and dismissive behavior left a negative impression on us. The elevators were often slow, and the breakfast, for an additional cost, was underwhelming and self-service. Overall, we were let down by our experience at this hotel.

We chose to stay at this hotel in Barcelona on a whim and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The level of service and politeness from the staff was outstanding. The breakfast was not only delicious but also very satisfying. The rooms were tidy, nicely decorated, and had a modern feel. The hotel's location in the Gothic District was unbeatable, making it convenient to explore the city. We will certainly be returning for another stay!
