During our stay, we were welcomed with open arms and treated like treasured acquaintances. The level of care and attentiveness was present in every aspect of our time at the hotel. From our interactions with the staff, we gained valuable knowledge about the city. The facilities were outstanding, with sleek modern decor, calming color palettes, and top-notch beds and rooms. While the location is a bit outside of the bustling city center, a quick taxi ride easily solved that issue. This will surely be our go-to accommodation when we return to Barcelona.
.
My HUSBAND was paid for through a conference and invited the kids and i to join since it was during their Thanksgiving break. Upon arrival - i was told the company paid only for 1 and asked if i would like to rent out two other rooms which seemed confusing because i have two minors under 13. Perhaps Language Barrier played a role. ? I explained to him, that i am okay we will pay the difference- he said that is not possible and was stuck on the fact that one person per one room. I know that hotels in Europe are small but surely not 1 per room .?
I stopped speaking to this particular person since clearly he seemed new. When i went to next lady i checked in and told her i will pay the difference which was 30 euro pp per night- WRONG! They charged me 75Euro per kid/per night. Jetlagged and tired i slept strt 48hr - spoke to both event organizer & hotel supervisor and was told that each room can have an occupancy of 3, understood later explaining the charge of for the breakfast per person. (None of us other than my husband ate at the restaurant) instead enjoyed local food in the last ramblas area. They confirmed they would take care of the charges and i made sure that was the case. When i checked out- outside the 300 per night the event organizer had paid- the hotel charged me 200 addtional per night extra. -Fraud- they told me for the breakfast (never had) or the “TOWELS” which between the 4 of us were given only two. Nonetheless after the event organzier called them out for the charges they charged me 90 per night instead with tax totaling 300. This hotel was not family friendly- nor a upscale hotel they claimed to be- this hotel should not have the unbound title- i have stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and never was treated like this. You pay for what you get- in this case we paid but never rcvd the quality. They even charged 7 euros if you requested things like a fork/spoon or towel. They were so focused on my little kids and charging them they never told me we could partake in what the hotel had to offer. We stayed at Kimoton with over 5000 5 star reviews- total night and day- so family friendly and 0 language barrier. They gave my kids water bottles and so warm and didn’t make me feel shameful for having my minor children in one room. They have social hour with free drinks for adults and children were offered pop, chocolates and treats. Other US & European families commented on how clean and customer service is at their highest level. Rooms were as large as Sofia- but maybe by 50sqft- but the level of service is high level and puts sofia to shame.SHAME ON SOFIA HYATT IN BARCelona for shaming/bullying a mom into paying for a charge i dis not agree nor use because of towels and breakfast we never Used nor told to utilise. Don’t stay there unless you are single, barely in the room and/okay w. Invalid charges.….
During my recent trip to Barcelona, I stayed at a lovely hotel and had an exceptional experience. The room was immaculately clean and boasted a stunning view. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with a luxurious bath and shower. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, quickly resolving any minor issues that arose. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable and their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident. From the front desk to the luggage assistance, all of the staff members were friendly and kind. I want to give a special shoutout to Iana and Uriel (apologies if I spelled that incorrectly) for their impeccable service. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to taxi services and public transportation. I highly recommend trying the delicious desserts at the cafe and indulging in the peaceful spa, which was a highlight of my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to return. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable ?.
??Attended a conference and ?enjoyed my stay! The ?staff were friendly, ?food was excellent, and the ?room was clean and comfortable. A bit far from ?️tourist spots and restaurants, but ?close to the underground which made getting to the old town a breeze. Only downside was some ?noisy guests between 2-4am, but it seemed to be just my luck as my colleagues didn't experience the same issue. Overall, a great stay! ?
The service staff made our stay at this hotel truly special! During our previous visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Runa, who was delightful. This time, we had the pleasure of chatting with Oriole and Valeria, who were equally lovely. The entire porter team was exceptional - as we were preparing for our cruise, they made sure we had all the necessary information and took great care of our luggage upon arrival and departure. The room designs were interesting, and we particularly appreciated the in-room espresso maker. The breakfast spread was also fantastic. However, we did notice a small hiccup during our stay - the television welcome screen had the wrong name displayed. Additionally, the sink hardware appeared quite worn, with the once-brass plug now black. While these may seem like minor details, for a 6-star hotel charging $600 USD per night, they do hold some weight. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
