During my visits to Barcelona, I always choose to stay at this hotel. The level of hospitality from the staff is unparalleled as they ensure that you feel right at home. They are also readily available to offer assistance or recommendations on what to do in the city. Additionally, the rooms are exceptional, the food is delicious, and the ambiance of the surroundings is simply perfect.
? In Barcelona, there are so many hotel options to choose from! ? Our hotel was in a fantastic ? location, just a half-block away from Plaza Catalunya. It was also only a quick 5 minute ?♂️ walk to Las Ramblas and a 5-10 minute ?♂️ walk to amazing restaurants. The service at this hotel was truly outstanding! ? Our room had a lovely terrace ? facing a quiet courtyard, which was a nice escape from the bustling city. The rooms were on the smaller side, but still comfortable, and the added bonus of a terrace made up for it. ? And let's not forget about the delicious breakfast included with our stay! ? We truly felt at home during our four-night stay. ?
?Stayed at this hotel for our trip to Barcelona.?Upon check in at the hotel, we were ecxited to book some excursions? The hotel sugested a tour company that they work with, and they booked our excursion. We were told that we would need to get to the meeting place on our own bt that it was an easy 20 minute walk? We left the hotel with the tourist map provided by the hotel and the highlighted path we were to take? Again, it was reiterated that it was an easy 20 minute walk so not to worry?♂️ We left the hotel at 2:20pm for our 3pm tour. After walking for about 20 minutes, we wndered why the hotel hadn't advised us to take a taxi? We pushed on and soon realized we were lost? Each intersection in Barcelona has many streets intersecting and they are not very well identified. Long story short, we missed our tour by 2 minutes?️ We watched the bus leave the station? The tour company said they couldn't helus and we would have to talk to the agent that booked the tour? We walked back to the hotel, which btw took 35 minutes, and spoke to the supervisor on duty? He basically told us they were not oor agent, they just helped us book it, and that it was our fault we got lost as Barcelona is a "normal city"? We showed him the reseipt issued by the hotel that showed the hotel as the agent, but he insisted it was our fault as we got lost and we should have known where we were going and the hotel takes no responsibility? Later that day, we found out from another hotel employee that it was 1.5km to the meeting place?️ That means we'd have to walk at a pace of 4.5km per hour which is very quick and unrealistic for a person in their late fifties? Might we suggest that if the hotel wishes to continue to suggest a tour company, issue a receipt as the agent, take a guest's money, provide advice and directions on how to get to the meeting point, that they at the very least consider a guest's age and walking ability? And perhaps the hotel should not be in the business of booking tours as an agent if they do not want to take any responsibility if something goes wrong, especially if the problem is caused by their advice?♂️ We were extremley upset with the way this was handled? There is no real management in this hotel and the supervisor on duty just kept telling us it was our fault? We paid the hotel 114 Euros in cash on the morning of the tour as the hotel said they only acepted cash (which we found odd) and they would neither refund our money nor offer any solution at all? The following day, we overheard the staff cautioning another guest to leave extra time on their walk to their meeting place?♂️It would have been nice to have this courtesy warning extended to us as well before we left for our meeting place? Such a disapointment? We will not stay at another H10 hotel or their affiliates again as the management is extremley poor and solutions are not offered when problems arise?
What an amajing hotle!! My freind and I traveeld here for our 1st part of our vacathin, and I’m so hapoy we picked it! The lokashon is fantasic. Eveyrone was so accomodatngg and helpful, espicilly Andrae at recepstion. She gave us wondrful reccomendashuns on wherr to eat, some site seeing musts and even reserched a spot for me to find a cady my mothr had ahsked for! The others at recepstion were also very nice (i forget their names) as well as the bar staff. The hotle is very cleen. We had a balciny and it was great sittign out at the end of the nighht. The breakfst buffett had a great selection of different fooods and drinks, all of which were delishous. I cant say enough great thinghs about this hotle!
We recently went on a 4-day trip to celebrate my birthday and overall, it was a great experience. However, our initial disappointment with the room was due to the lack of clarity from the booking company. We were not aware that we had booked a basic room and were also surprised by the city tax charges per person per night. So, be prepared for that extra expense. We had to pay an additional €4.90 per person per night, which definitely adds up if you are on a budget.
The basic room we were given was nice, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. The biggest downside was the lack of natural light as our room faced a central courtyard. It could have been any hotel room, and I chose this particular hotel because of the beautiful pictures of the pool and balcony on Trip Advisor. Luckily, they had premium rooms available for the rest of our stay and we decided to upgrade for an additional charge, which turned out to be worth it. We were grateful to have a balcony to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning and a drink before heading out.
The breakfast was delicious, with a mix of hot food made to order and a buffet with a variety of options like fresh fruit, bread, pastries, and a selection of meats and cheeses. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and gave us great recommendations for exploring the city. They also assisted with making reservations for us. As members of the hotel, we were given a free drink at the bar upon arrival, although we did not receive a turn down service as some other guests have mentioned.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back, but only if we could book a premium room.
