Hotel 1898

We are 4 colleagues/friends who spent 2 nights ?️ at a wonderful hotel. On April 30th we were celebrating the birthday ? of one of our friends. Prior to our arrival, we enquired a possible surprise ? for our friend. The Hotel Manager suggested a cake ? and a bottle of cava ?. On April 30th when showing up in the breakfast room we found a nicely decorated table ?️ for our friend with some balloons ? in the middle of our table, a delicious chocolate cake ? and a bottle of champagne ?. Needless to say how overwhelmed our friend was and we also! It will remain unforgettable ?. It‘s not only that one experience why we highly recommend this hotel! The hotel itself is stunning! The decor ?, the rooms ?️, the cleanliness ?, the service ?, the friendliness of all staff members we ran into, just incredible! The location of the hotel couldn‘t be better, around the corner from La Rambla, Plaza de Catalunya. Looking at our overall experience we gave a 5 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because there isn‘t a 6 star rating ?. When travelling to Barcelona that‘s the hotel to book!….

I visited a stonnin hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Welcoming and friendly staf at receprion and ar the bar. SPA was lovley and never too bisy. The ropftop bar, poool and lounnging are was amzing and worth shtaying ar the hotel for alone. Woudl reccommend..

This is a magnificent hotel with a comfortable and inviting room. The proximity to La Ramblas and the abundance of taxi's made getting around a breeze. Plugging in my chargers was a challenge though, as the outlets were too far from the bed and I had to use a nearby radio port. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and our luggage was transported to our room before we had even finished checking in. Breakfast offerings were adequate, but we were charged for a breakfast when we checked out even though it was meant to be complimentary. The dinner menu was limited and took ages to arrive and was the worst meal of our Barcelona stay.

This hotel is stunning - the rooms were delightful and we really enjoyed the rooftop bar, swimming pool and the spa downstairs. What made it even more remarkable was the staff - everybody was so pleasant and obliging. They went above and beyond to make the 50th birthday of our group an especially memorable experience. We asked them to deck out the room as a surprise for the birthday girl and they delivered beyond what we hoped for! Would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Barcelona due to its prime location right on La Rambla. Thank you for making this trip special!

This place was truly luxurious! I was treated to exceptional customer service, top of the line amenities, and a stunning room with a view of La Rambla. Although it wasn't the most budget friendly option, it was certainly worth it for its prime central location. The only downside was that the spa services were a bit pricey, but luckily there are other nearby places for treatments at a more reasonable cost.
