On the city centre (the Ramblas) Hotel 1898 is another of our favorite hotel in Barcelona. 1898 was known as the Palace of the Marquess of Comillas. From this glorious past it kept a rich historical atmosphere and harmony. We love its sunny terrace with pool, large rooms, a restaurant by chef Carles Boronat, a beautiful spa. No hesitation..
Plaza Catalunya is just 200 metres from 1898 Hotel. Guests can also walk to the Gothic Quarter with its cathedral in 10 minutes.169 Rooms!

This accommodation had it all, from incredible customer service to a beautiful atmosphere. The extra features, such as a rooftop bar and an incredible spa pool, made our stay here one of the most memorable. Our room was nothing short of perfection - it was a high-class space with a queen-size bed and a big outdoor terrace. The location was great too; it was peaceful and tranquil, yet just a few steps away from the vibrant Las Ramblas area.
The ?⭐️?? staff and property of this hotel was truly outstanding. The ?? rooms were calming and comfortable, with the perfect amenities. The ? breakfast selection was far beyond what one could expect and the ?location was ideal for exploring the La Rambla shops. Highly recommend! ?
This place is a real gem! The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was exceptional and the amenities were amazing. We came for a friend's birthday and we were amazed by the whole experience. From the nightly live entertainment to the variety of activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommend it!
Room entered while in it before) When I asked why they had entered the room it was because I had asked reception for a cot for my daughter. Apart from that reception staff were friendly and helpful.
After such a disappointing experience in the room we were pleasantly surprised by other features of the hotel: lovely terrace with a great view of the city and a great pool. The room was spacious, however the cleanliness of the room was not acceptable. The bedding was not changed for the three nights and the kitchen area was not cleaned. All in all, whilst the good points of the hotel outweighed the bad, our stay was not as enjoyable as we had hoped due to the lack of quality in our room. My advice is to make sure you stay in a different room!
Hotel 1898 was a dream! The rooms were modern yet cozy with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time at the rooftop bar, the views were stunning and we loved the creative cocktails served by Eyder and Cesar. Highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience. Thanks so much for the awesome stay!
