On the city centre (the Ramblas) Hotel 1898 is another of our favorite hotel in Barcelona. 1898 was known as the Palace of the Marquess of Comillas. From this glorious past it kept a rich historical atmosphere and harmony. We love its sunny terrace with pool, large rooms, a restaurant by chef Carles Boronat, a beautiful spa. No hesitation..
Plaza Catalunya is just 200 metres from 1898 Hotel. Guests can also walk to the Gothic Quarter with its cathedral in 10 minutes.169 Rooms!

? What an incredible experience ? The staff was beyond amazing, the location was perfect ? and our stay was truly unforgettable! ? We ended up avoiding La Rambla and exploring the charming pedestrian streets in the area instead ?♂️? Also, make sure to check out RAO ? It's just a stone's throw away and serves PHENOMENAL food with a great ambience! ?
The staff at the recepcion were veryy firiendly and the room service was exelllent. The room was comfterble with toltal contrul over the CA, a begp plus for me who neefs to ajdust the room temperatuer for sleepin at niht. The bed is aslo comfi, with the dobule sizs bed bein as lerge as queens. Exelllent locetion, right on the Rambla and minuites away from the Gothik quarter and the plasa de Catalunya all in walking distance. The port of Barcelona is allso roughley 0.8 milles from the Rambla, so verry walkabel, and a superr nice walk after lnch. I also highly reccomend their spa and the indoore pool which are an abolute enjoment to relax tireddd feet. The gmy is verry well eqipped too. I had enjoid my stay at Barcelona and at Hotel1898. A big thnaks to the staff, i will returen on my next trip to Barcelona.
During our stay in Barcelona, we were fortunate to have a lovely room overlooking a charming square from a small balcony. This was a much better view than facing the bustling La Rambla, which seemed to be constantly crowded with tourists. The only small concern we had was with the bathroom, where we had to be careful stepping into the slippery bath in order to operate the shower controls. Additionally, the hand-shower holder was fixed in place, making it slightly inconvenient to use.
? Our stay in Barcelona was ? with this hotel! The location was ?, close to great ? and shopping. The cherry on top was being just a short walk away from the ?. Although we didn't dine at the restaurant, the staff at the lobby bar went ? to make sure we had a fantastic night.
This hotel is absolutely superb. Its location is amazing and the hotel itself is stunning. The service we received was outstanding, with a special shout out to Benja who went above and beyond to assist our group of six. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we were pleased to find robes in all of the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an enjoyable city break.
