On the city centre (the Ramblas) Hotel 1898 is another of our favorite hotel in Barcelona. 1898 was known as the Palace of the Marquess of Comillas. From this glorious past it kept a rich historical atmosphere and harmony. We love its sunny terrace with pool, large rooms, a restaurant by chef Carles Boronat, a beautiful spa. No hesitation..
Plaza Catalunya is just 200 metres from 1898 Hotel. Guests can also walk to the Gothic Quarter with its cathedral in 10 minutes.169 Rooms!

? We had a 5-day stay at this hotel and we absolutely loved it! The location is perfect, right on La Rambla, making it easy to explore all over the city. The ? rooftop terrace and ?♂️ pool were amazing and offered a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Our room was stunning, not to mention spotless and incredibly comfy. The ? staff was super attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. And let's not forget the ? delicious lunch options and the amazing spa in the basement - a must-try for anyone looking for some relaxation. Needless to say, we'll definitely be coming back for our next visit to the city!

We had an unbelievable stay at Hotel 1898 in Barcelona - it was even more exceptional than our previous visit. When we arrived in reception, we realized that we had made a huge mistake; we left our small bag with all our important items in the back seat of a taxi! We were both completely distressed, but luckily, thanks to the kind and professional staff, we had it returned the next day. The location on the Ramblas is perfect and the accommodation is luxurious. We always choose one of the 5th floor rooms, with its own terrace and day bed - it's heavenly! There's also a small pool, bar and restaurant on the roof of the hotel, offering delicious food. Not to mention the amazing spa and the delicious breakfast. In short, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Barcelona and we are already planning our next visit. We cannot thank the staff at Hotel 1898 enough for their help, kindness, and understanding - they are truly angels!
This hotel had an amazing location with its entrance just off La Rambla. The staff were friendly and able to help with anything we needed. Everything was still within walking distance, making it even more convenient. The room was comfortable and cozy, giving us a pleasant stay. There were many breakfast options available nearby, but you could get some good food inside the hotel as well. We would definitely stay here again.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! My room was stylish and cozy, and there were plenty of activities to choose from. The highlight was definitely the rooftop pool and bar, with stunning views and great features. We took part in a cocktail-making class with Chuky at the hotel, and we had so much fun! The drinks were amazing as well. Many thanks to Chuky and the staff of this wonderful establishment!
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this particular hotel for 3 nights. We were highly impressed with the friendly and courteous hospitality provided. Not only was the rooftop terrace with its pool, bar, spa and breakfast all to a very high standard, but we genuinely had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We look forward to seeing you all again soon - thank you for making our trip so memorable!
