The second W Hotel established in Europe is the one of Barcelona: W Barcelona opened its doors in October 2009 and one can say that it has already reached the reputation of its famous predecessors of the Starwood Group… Called the Sail, this building designed by the Master Ricardo Bofill is ideally located on the beach, on the entry of the port, in the district of Barceloneta.

W Barcelona is undoubtedly an incredible hotel experience worthy of its iconic status. Our stay there was nothing short of amazing! All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating - with a special mention for Patrick at the check-in desk. He made sure to give us the full world-elite treatment due to our Marriott gold status, going above and beyond by not only upgrading our room, but also sharing insightful travel tips and helping us plan out our visit. The hotel itself is stunning, with a modern and upscale design throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa, indoor pool and the fantastic bar - where Ivan provided excellent service and recommended the best drinks based on my preference. All in all, W Barcelona is definitely an experience to remember and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona!

The beautiful beaches, clear waters, and warm weather make Barcelona the perfect destination for paddle surfing. Paddle surfing in Barcelona can be done on the beach or in the sea and the best time to paddle surf is during the summer months when the weather is warm and the sea is calm. Some popular paddle surfing spots in Barcelona include Barceloneta Beach, Nova Icària Beach, and Bogatell Beach. These beaches are located in the heart of the city and are easily accessible by public transport. Paddle surfing is a fun and exciting activity that is perfect for visitors of all ages. I had a great time paddle surfing while visiting Barcelona and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
We stayed at a high-end suite for two nights with my family. The view was breathtaking! The room was nice, but starting to show its age. For around 10k/night, we were expecting a good sound system, functional electrical switches by the bed, a working doorbell, and a truly impeccable concierge service. But unfortunately, the service was good - not great. Our transfer reservation was made with the wrong date, there was a long wait for room service, and we got bad advice about the Mercato della Bocqueria (it was closed on Sunday). Our overall experience was great, but we're not sure it was worth the money.

I'm so glad I stayed at the W Barcelona last week! From the moment we stepped in, the luxurious feel of the hotel blew me away. The room was so beautiful and the electric curtains that opened up to a breathtaking view made me feel like I was on a cruise. The attention to detail in service was impeccable - the housekeeping was done daily with all the amenities restocked. I particularly loved the little make up remover pads, plentiful coffee and the "wow" lighting! Room service was also great, with delivery fees at only 4.99 Euro and menu items cheaper than the bar. I was in absolute awe of the stunning beachfront terrace and definitely enjoyed, sipping cocktails and taking in the beautiful Barcelona skyline. All in all, it was a great stay and I will definitely be coming back soon!
This was our first stay at W Barcelona and it was an amazing experience. The staff were all top-notch in service, from the concierge working to get us tickets for a soccer match to the wonderful Luisa at FIRE restaurant who made our 25th wedding anniversary extra special. The view was simply stunning, the breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable and relaxing. An extra treat was the special goodie bag with the tickets inside. We will definitely be back!
