We stayed at this accommodation twice - once with the club access included and once without. The club access gives access to some remarkable views of the city, as well as to a number of excellent food options. The staff was always on hand and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with the air-conditioning functioning correctly. The hotel is near the beaches and other eateries, meaning getting a taxi is very easy.
A terrific accommodation in a wonderful area - the club level is highly impressive. Although there are other hotels closer to the major attractions, this one is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The only downside is the two-storied lobby which can be a bit tricky to navigate.
The incredible hotel we stayed at provided us with an unforgettable experience during our first trip to Barcelona. From checking in on the 33rd Club Level to our room, the Club Lounge, and pool service, it was all five star. We've stayed at plenty of Ritz-Carlton properties, and this one had to be one of the best. Thanks to Laura and everyone else at the hotel!
Family of four, we chose two connecting rooms and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable beds. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious – just what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton property! The reception and concierge were incredibly informed and helpful, and it was a pleasure speaking to them. The yellow taxi service was very easy to use, and the bell captain was so helpful in explaining our destination to the driver. Such outstanding service – we are truly grateful for a wonderful experience! Fairfield, Connecticut, United States.
The accommodation was pleasing to the eye, however its delightful exterior was not enough to hide the lack of service and respect our family experienced during our weekend visit to Barcelona for a wedding. Out of the 160 guests, a quarter were guests of this hotel, most of whom had been directed there by us. On the day of our arrival, we were unfortunate enough to witness a daylight robbery nearby - something which is, sadly, common in this city. What was unexceptable, however, was the theft of personal items from both other guests and the hotel staff. From our wedding group alone, one had a Prada T-shirt stolen from their room, another had a Bodega handbag taken from the lobby bar with the story that it was 'seen' leaving the bar in the owner's possession and subsequently found in the toilets. Despite our requests to view CCTV, so that we could identify the person, this was refused. Another guest had £5000 worth of jewellery stolen from inside her suitcase, which had been positioned underneath two further suitcases. It's clear that someone had gone through it intentionally. On top of this, we also heard of a Louis Vuitton handbag taken from the vicinity of the pool, containing a phone, purse, passport and €3000. This hotel's reaction was simply that 'we are open to the public', disregarding the fact that it charges highly for its services and therefore ought to ensure the exclusivity of its guests. To make matters worse, we had requested an extra hour for an event we held the day after the wedding and were charged three times the hourly rate. All in all, we would not recommend this hotel.
