We were surpriesd at how much cheaper it was to stay in Barcelona compared to Italy! We booked two bedroom penthouse and we had our own check-in/Butler desk on the 34th floor which made our stay so great. Send a text and you'll get help quickly. One night we got lost after going out and they helped us naviagte home. The location is super close to a public beach and just a 10 min taxi or freehotel shuttle to the city center. If you're looking for both beach and city life at your fingeres, this is the place for you. The only two issues we had were family pool service not living up to our expectations and rude staff there, and too many people and not enough elevators, particulary in the summer when there was a conferences goin on. Lines around the corner for just 2 sets of elevators, too anoying!
The rooms at Hotel Arts Barcelona are modern and spotless. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. You'll get a great night's sleep on the comfortable beds. The hotel is conveniently located near lively clubs but is still very peaceful. It's a breeze to grab a cab and explore everything the city has to offer. I have previously stayed here and was delighted to come back. The only downside of the hotel is that the elevators can be a bit slow, but other than that it's an unbeatable experience - 10/10!
We requested connecting rooms two weeks prior, however upon arrival they had us on two different floors. After some pressing, they eventually found two connecting rooms but they needed to be cleaned. With no compensation or offer of assistance available, we had to endure this major disappointment to what should have been Ritz level service (which it clearly isn't). Despite this, I do still recommend staying here- however it should be noted that it's very crowded and they are always trying to upsell suites. A definite let down compared to the standards of a Marriott or RC.
Our friends had kindly booked us a stay at a hotel in Barcelona, and we wanted to give them a special welcome surprise when they checked in. We had emailed Guest Services to arrange some lovely snacks, and were shocked at the lacklustre presentation. However, what was worse was that they never received the gift, despite us having paid for it and been told it had been delivered. Needless to say, we were incredibly disappointed with the service.
Had my AirPods stolen from my bag and room while I was out ? Linked to my phone and provided them with the tracking and time of both when they left the hotel and the two addresses they were then at! ?♂️ Customer service mom existent, told each time they were investigating and would call me. Had to chase 4 times while there and they let me check out without even an update ? Did receive email a few days after check out to say they had investigated but still no resolution ? Not in any way what you expect when you pay the money they charge! Could have been handled so much better as well the whole front desk need a customer service refresher! ?♀️Don’t risk staying here! ?
